| Yousuf denied Canada visa |
|
Pakistan were forced to leave Mohammad Yousuf out of their squad for this week's four-nation Twenty20 tournament in Toronto after the batsman was refused a visa.
Sources confirmed to Reuters that Canadian high commission officials refused to give visas to three players including senior batsman Yousuf who was in the original 20-man party named in September.
Pakistan's cricket board announced the 15-man squad just 24 hours before their departure for the October 10-14 tournament.
Pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar was recalled after being told last month he could play international and domestic cricket until a High Court decision was made on a £50,579 fine imposed on the player by the national board.
The PCB earlier said Akhtar, who last represented his country in India last December, could not play for Pakistan or in Pakistan until he had cleared the fine imposed on him for disciplinary violations.
The selectors included two uncapped players - pacer Anwar Ali and batsman Shoaib Khan - in the squad for the tournament that also features Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Canada.

Shoaib Malik (captain), Misbah-ul-Haq, Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Fawad Alam, Sohail Khan, Khalid Latif, Abdur Rauf, Shoaib Khan, Anwar Ali

In news papers it is to said that canada refuses to give the visa to yousaf. it is really shameful to the countries claiming independency of human, but dealing racisim. it is sure he was refused due to his emotional attachment to Islam, we really appreciate Yousaf........... I never said he cudnt score..but yea whats the point of scoring 50 runs while giving away 20?
PLus anyone whos seen pak cricket for last couple of years knows yousaf is not even in the field half the time. NOT fit enough!

Yea host country asked em to submit papers and passport at certain time to get visa ..they didnt submit his passport on time hence no visa.
PS Mabi6 above claim that it was racist not to give yousaf visa is a retarded claim on so many levels. fk of the day award to mabi6.

I understand him just fine. I dont think u understand why he was refused visa. They had told PCB before hand that wat was the deadline for submitting passports and paperworks just like any embassy. PCB was unable to do so in timely manner hence no visa. Retards who are saying its racism well they are just retards.
When i said good that he didnt go ...That was my opinion.. In my opinion he doesnt add anything to 20/20 team. So try reading lill bit more ..if u dont get it..try again.

| Yousuf not in T20 Canada |
|
As much as i like Yousuf and what he has done for the country, he is just not T20 material. To be a good T20 player a batsman only player should have atleast around 130 stike rate, plus his fielding has always been questionable. I am glad he was not able to make it to Canada, gives our younger players some chance to show some skills.

Wow i will bring it notice to ICC that next ranking they will calculate only after excluding "how many runs are given away by him" or they start top runs given away ranking in future.
