Hi Friends,

Why we are so curious for these kinds of things? It is not a matter of criteria but we should not be ashamed if we can not speak that good english. Why we are after those things which have nothing to do in real matters. The most important thing is the presentation and strong arguments to communicate your point of view in these kinds of relations because there are lot of people to interpret if something arises.

Yes I agree. They should emphasize on Urdu like Chinese and japanese or they should take some courses on English Speaking.

if the politition is capable & honest to deliver rest is irrelevent.If we cannot speak the English language with command we should communicate in the National language like other nations does.

That is precisely what i was trying to say, his presentation is lacking and excrutiatingly poor and thats with regards to his dialogue and communication

it doesnt matter in the least how his english is.. the most important this is WHAT HE HAS SAID...

he said among other impeachable things:

* MUSLIMS WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11

* HE HAD NO IDEA ABOUT KASHMIR PROBLEM

* APOLOGETIC .. ALWAYS ASKING GORAS TO GIVE HIM "ACTIONABLE EVIDENCE" .. WE WILL ACT AND KILL AT YOUR COMMAND

What else you can expect from puppet like him.

he should speak with a translator ... but with confidence .... like chinese,russians , japanes etc etc

ezinepoint:You are right but the problem is what he is saying is that which suits Zardari & West.We need a genuine,capable,honest & inside out Pakistani leader with a lot of confidence & vision.English speaking is not that important only expressing point of views & addressing national isues is the most important even in your national language with translator.

Yes you are right Inayat, I do agree with you except on one point i.e. "but the problem is what he is saying is that which suits Zardari & West" coz he doesn't say a word by his own, in fact, Zardari's words out of Gilani's mouth Very Happy

Mr. Yousuf Raza Gillani has no ability to hold highest executive post of Pakistan government. His ability to understand English and explain himself in English is very poor and that is the reason that US governments institutions were over powered on him and have complete control of the deals, and because of poor communication ability Mr. prime minister had to keep his mouth shut or if he wanted to say something he couldn't explain because of lake of knowledge of English language.

In the first place i dont think he should be the primeminister, But he is a primeminister becasue he is goof enough that his strings can be pulled and make him dance thier way. He seem like a rabbit caught in headlight when in media.for sure this is not his fault but its zardaris fault who wanted a skapgoat like him, and so he can play with our nations fate in the name of a family all of whome are dead.Bilawal is our next king, is this we are all educating.

great nations are atleast pround of their language... but we are shamefully not

I agree, english is not a criterion for someone to be a good prime minister or leader, its the people who have that kind of sycophantic thinking back home about english, who are actually destroying our culture and prestige of Urdu language. Please come out of slavery and have some self respect as a nation.

However at the same time I would also say that Gillani shouldnt speak english, he should only speak Urdu.

I agree with that english shouldn't be a criteria for be a good leader. But i heard him few times. Gilani problem is that he doesn't has the gutts to speak, face the media or any public stuff. He can not even talk in his national language. Many leaders around the world do not communicate in english even they know how to speak. His problem is lack of knowledge, lack of communication. But at the moment our country is under alot of external and internal pressure so to deal with such pressure, to comments of issues related to our nation at least he should better know how to speak english and important thing is to know what to say for what has been asked, because every statement would make a difference so better he knows what has been asked and what should be the right answer to that.

ya exactly we should not to hesitate to speak our language

our prime minster should speak our national language like other countires.

even french precident don`t know to speak english

Stick to Urdu and get your self an interpreter. It will help you to express your views in a better way rather than thinking about your English. There are many examples of world leaders infront of you.

Our Prime Minister should take Spoken English classes its no shame to do that.
