I think engineering started the day when the first human being started thinking of finding solutions to any problems, searching for tools and methods to solve their problems like the first day the human lit up the fire using the wood-stone friction method, and then using round stones for wheels. so I think world would look more like this(without engineers):

All of the cartoons including one from Usman contain lot of engineering. Specially fine clothes the lady is wearing and printing on it. Also the socks and string used on them.
We cannot imagine world without engineering.

People of Hell once asked from Allah that they want to see the Heaven just to see how it is.
Allah Asked the Heaven people if they have any objection. They agreed but asked to see the Hell.
Allah told both people that there is a big gap between the lands joining them. These people have to build a bridge. Heaven side half by people of Heaven and Hell side half by people of Hell.
After long time it was observed that Heaven side half bridge is complete but the other side still not started.
Allah asked the people of Hell why they did not started it while they shown more desire to see the Heaven.
People of Hell replied: Engineers know how to build a bridge but Doctors don't.

true  I was going to mention that, anyways world will be more appropriately called "planet of apes" without engineering wihtout any artificial stuff including outifts, shoes and lipsticks lol
