Why School going kids have heavy bag?
I usually observe those kids going to any good standard English school in Karachi than look what a weight of books they innocent kids are lifting bags containing books and copies, perhaps if normal condition same weight if asked to lift for shorter distance than they do not agree to lift.
If any school understand if their education system have introduce many books than helpful for students but my suggestion to reduce the no of books but pay more attention towards practically studies and make sure in future lifes these students can able to stand on feet and not dependable on others resources or help.
I must say due to heavy weight of books or copies does not means that existing education system is good, I suggest to the EDUCATION MINISTER to reduce the volume of text books subjects so the kids able to lift own school bags without help of any support and get such way education which will help them to build for future who can work for own nation and raises his parents names
Besides school bags weight same way private school fees are very high which is problem for middle class specially salaried person to extract for 2 months fees which not take a action for charting combine 2 months fees and make a slab for private school to charge reasonable school fees and do not try to get ABNORMAL school fees which is additional burden to parents.
I always feel pain when realizing that kids can’t able to lift his school bags but force to take all books and copies according to daily time table which is totally injustice and if you teacher of any school lift any school kids bags of going school class 3 to 5 than realized what weights they carry? How brave these innocents kids?

I fully agree with you, children should not be made to carry so many books to school daily. It is bad for their health. In Mumbai one school has eliminated this problem by issuing an iPad2 to each student from class 4 to 10. The students use the iPad for all their school requirements, downloading the teachers notes and even emailing homework.
In my opinion this is the best way forward.

This is unfair to kids who are carrying heavy bags everyday to school. Locker systems used be introduced so students can keep their books in it and only carry home the ones, in which homework needs to be done.

I agree with goldfish lockers must be introduced in every school in order to lighten the weight of school bags.
