| What should I do? Future Lahoree Pilot! |
|
Hi fellas, I'm a Canadian raised Pakistani and just returned to Pakistan after many years. I've studied till grade 9 in a Canadian Highschool and would like to become a pilot in near future. If I had stayed in Canada I would have completed my highschool (grade 12) in pre-engineering academic courses but now that I'm in Pakistan I'm totally confused what to do.
Can you please suggest what would be the best way to become a pilot, should I do 0+A Levels or do matric and then FSC or something else. I'm currently living in DHA (Defense) Lahore.
Thanks in advance.

my suggestion to unstopabl3 would be to do matric and FSc rather than O A levels, cuz martic FSc suite PAF more than O or A levels, you dont quite get the detailed knowledge about Pakistan and history of Pakistan if you do Cambridge levels, while you need to know about history and Pakistan's background political, military, economical, social and religious background to become a good fighter pilot or even to pass the ISSB tests.
if you want to be a commercial pilot that is perhaps a differnt story.
Good Luck

I am not being jazbati, but the way you said that Pakistan is 200 years behind in everything is just insulting. I hope that you go back to Pakistan after you complete your education but it nearly seems uninevitable.
your arguement that Pakistani education is very very bad is nowhere in premises of reality, I have my class fellows getting B grades back home in my university who became toppers here in UK. You just dont know how much talent we have and how good are we getting in education. I dont want to start a new debate here now. but anyways whether Pakistan is 200 years back or 400 years back, it is still Pakistan our Pak land and we all love it.
I am glad to know that there are some people out there who are patriots or atleast call themselves patriots.

baat app ki bilkul theak hai! i agree...with that! your right tankeed karnay say kuch nahi hoo ga ..we have to change things our selves!! but i said that because when i can here to usa education system was very different and good! bad education means we dont learn any art courses in high school in Pakistan and its simply not practical because of less resources...anyways, you seems good person and i am really happy that still some good people are in pakistan! anyways good luck!

If I were you, I would go back to Canada and join their Navy or Airforce. Becoming a pilot over there is merely getting past the background checks, physicals and doing the trainings.
Then you could be a fighter pilot for couple of years, make money, retire or switch over to commercial airliners.
In Pakistan, from what I heard, it is really competitive getting into PAF (& require seious connections) let alone getting into their aircrafts.
If you become a military pilot in Canada, you don't even have to waste money getting flying lessons.
