pehley to yeh sawal hi ajeeb hey keh safar kaisey kiya
janab mein ney yeh safar beth kar kharey hokar so kar kiya
but to be frank, i think what you wanted to ask me
if i got bored
yes while travelling by sea, one sometimes get bored by
seeing the same sea and aea and sea again and again
laikin yeh samandar ka safar hey koyi bus nahin thi
keh jahan mood hoya driver sey keh kar bus rukwa li
aur uter gayey
(by the wayt i went to hajj by sea in 1984, (at the age of 29 years) all alone from karachi to jeddah
through Safina e arab ...... a pakistani hajj passenger carrier)
and the interesting point is that i travelled without any passport
because my passport was under preparation in karachi
and was sent by the authorities by air to jeddah and when
i arrived there my passport was handed over to me on the ship
and then i could get out of the ship
In fact i boarded the ship at the last hour, as it was the lastt sailing
and there were some place available there (i had originally applied for air but my name did not appear in the list)
so i was thinking to go to hajj the next year)
i was told at the last moment, by the authorities
and i decided to go
due to this when i reached jeddah i did not have any muallem
like others
i was handed over to a muallem temporarily, who took me
to mecca
so i did not have any prehand reservation for accomodation
i spent my first night in mecca on footpath
i performed my hajj
and stayed in mecca and medina for 3 months
to again board the same ship
and again the 9 days 9 nights
its a long long story
it was one of the most remarkable events of my life
my life is full of too many adventures and interesting events

love pakistan
I would suggest every Pakistani to take a moment and say a few words on why you love Pakistan and post it to the site. My message posted on the site is as follows.
I love Pakistan, have done so throughout my life, and will love it forever.
Pakistan belongs to its people and not to the bunch of rotten corrupt politicians that have come and gone. Pakistan has been resilient enough to withstand the onslaught of corruption year after year for 60 years running, watching one tyrant after another make his own heaven on earth, even then my country withstood the onslaught and continued to serve its people. After a 60 year struggle it seems to be a little battle worn and tired and its now time for true Pakistanis like us, to stand up and give our nation a helping hand. It does not ask for much, just simply your love for the nation and maybe a good ruler at the helm of the ship and the courage to stand up and boldly say, I LOVE PAKISTAN very soon we shall see our efforts bear fruit and the new rising sun will take Pakistan into the skies like never before
Believe in Pakistan like never before and boldly say Pakistan Zindabad

Yeah I know that you were talking about traveling by ship but I didn't know that the difference between traveling by road or air can be this huge as compared to traveling by sea. Also because you said that it took 48 hours to travel from Gwadar to Muscat so I was bit confused because Dubai is closer to Muscat than Gwadar. But thanks, now it's clarified
