To control traffic jam and avoid road accidents, I believe the following steps are necessary to be taken, gov must be tough and serious to implement it:
1-Designate bus lanes which can also be used by the Taxis.
2-Install speed cameras in these bus lanes, and if anybody uses these lanes , the camera will catch them.
3-Every single driver on the road must hold full driving license.
4-Bus drivers must only pick the passengers from allocated bus stops, not everywhere they want to.
5-Roads must be marked properly and pedestrian crossings should be built to facilitate their safe crossing.
6-A complete change of habits and culture is needed both among the people and law enforcement agencies.
7-Any over speader must be fined and taken his license away in cases of dangerous driving.
8-Traffic cops must be free of bribery in order to implement the rules and regulations in a proper way.
9-Modernize the roads.
10-Alloocate sufficent amount of money every year to implement road safety.
The last thing: As per my country Afghanistan, I need to confess that it is an imposible job to do, at least for a very very long future. But how about Pakistan?

I dont think so. If gov is serous to tackle this problem and allocate funding to it then it is not that difficult as we think, it will take time to get it done and change habit of people, but it all depends on how the gov and people see this problem. Look at how many people get killed in our countries because of these road accidents. Drivers do smoke hashesh heavily and drive which is one of the causes of the accidents, road regulations and rules mean nothing to people, traffic cops are corrupt. It all depends on the gov, it is not something imposible.
