| Test cricketer of the year award Yousaf |
|
JOHANNESBURG: Pakistan's prolific batsman Mohammad Yousuf prevented an Australian clean sweep by bagging the Test player of the year ward for scoring 944 runs in 10 innings at 94.40 during the voting period of August 2006-August 2007.
Ricky Ponting himself won two, the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the cricketer of the year and the captain of the year award at a formal ceremony held at the Sandton Convention Centre here on Monday night.
Matthew Hayden was named the one-day player of the year and fast bowler Shaun Tait, who missed out on the Twenty20 event due to injury, won the emerging player's award.
Australia picked up a fifth award away from the players when Simon Taufel was declared the best umpire for the fourth year in a row.
Wow! Thats great.

| Mohammad Yousaf The Great! |
|
Mohammad Yousaf is GREAT player of cricket of Pakistan. He should been in this 2020 World Cup. We all seen much poor perfomance of Vice Captain "Salman Butt" He were given chance to too many matches in this tournament. But he totally failed in every match. (Who makes him Vice Captain ) Therefore I mean it is not good with Mohammad Yousaf the way PCB behave against him. He is a class batsman. Unfortunatly our selectars are just currept persons

I agree. Like the South Africans who left out a class all rounder like Kallis, Pakistan have not selected the best test cricketer in form yousaf. Will they pay for this mistake in the finals? Let's hope for India's sake they do. Actually it makes no cricketing sense to drop yousaf and pick salman butt, who is now the butt of all jokes.
Thanks to Pakistan cricket selectors.
