hmm...My favourite author is Jules Vernes. He is french a french author, although he is dead now. He wrote mostly science-fiction, about adventure, travelling and other things that had to to with underwater, air, earth or space
My two favourite books written by him is:
The Mysterious Island which is about some people and a dog who get stranded on a island..They have no way out, but since all of them have their special qualities they learn to live toghether and make their own home on the island.
And whenever they get in trouble there is alwas someone mysterious person who helps them but they dont find out who it is until the end..I wont tell the whole story because then its no suspense.
The other book is Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea which is about some people who get caught in a submarine who is owned by captain nemo.People thinks it a monster because they have never seen the submarine, but some people go looking for it and finds it, but since captain nemo doesnt want his secret to open, they have to live in the submarine for ever with captain nemo and then its alot of adventure and everything.
the books are translatied into english if anyone wants to read..But I leaned a lot by reading all his books, bacause he wrote of things that even hadnt been invented at that time..And the books are so exciting you cant put them away..lol

Other books I like are the Harry Potter series, which probably everyone have heard about.
I have all the books in english at home so I have each book about hundreds of times...But I never get bored.
If anyone wants to start reading i would advice to not wath the movies before reading the books because the movies doent show everything that is in the books.
I think Harry Potter is for people in every age, but I really enjoyed waiting for the new book every year when they came out. Althoguh the last is out now..
And I would love to read others recommedations about other books because i love reading too =)

David Copperfield is written by Charles Dickes and is about a boy called David copperfield who loses his father before he is born.
His mother gets married again. His stepfather always creates problems for him and it doesnt make any better when the stepfathers sister moves in.
He is sent to a boarding school where he makes friends and later when his mother dies he has to face more problems and decides to run away.
The story follows David Copperfield through is childhood until he grows up and about alle the difficulties he has to face.
This books has also been made into a film.
The story is a so-called biography of the author, because he has been through something like that aswell.
Its a very exciting book and i will recommend everyone to read it, but its also a very sad story in my opinion.

Here another book I just love...I just enjoy telling about the books i like..lol
This book is written by a very popular writer called Paulo Coelho. The book is called the alchemist.
The story is about about a shepard called Satiago who follows his dream to find some of the world biggest treasures.
It tells us about his journey through a lot of places where he is seaking the alchemist.
The story also teaches about wisdom, about following our heart and most of all, following our dream.
Its a must-read book for people in all ages...a really touching book in my opinion.

| Books. |

I can suggest two by two great Indian writers.
Maximum City - Bombay lost and Found by Suketu Mehta
Such a terrific work of non-fiction. Explores the wrong side of Bombay, a city that never sleeps.
Midnight's Children - By Salman Rushdie
Revolutionized Indian Writing. Booker Prize winner.
