Shoaib Akhtar denied central contract
The news is not so good for a couple of other senior players, most notably Shoaib Akhtar, with whom the board has apparently run out of patience. He has been demoted from the top category to a retainership, especially created for players who have suffered from fitness, form and disciplinary problems, but who have represented Pakistan over the last couple of years.
He have to kick PBC Chairman head first and find a new place to play like ICL, county.... PCB they are just killing talent...

Arnt fast bowlers more prone to injuries... hs exclusion is gonna demoralise fast bowlers..
Category A: Younis Khan, Shoaib Malik , Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Yousuf . Monthly retainer 250,000 rupees ($4,500).
B: Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Shahid Afridi , Salman Butt, Umar Gul. 175,000 ($2,900)
C: Abdul Rehman, Yasir Arafat, Rao Iftikhar, Danish Kaneria, Fawad Alam. 100,000 ($1,650)

By the way i do think PCB is pathetic for not getting rid of him completely. Surprise Surprise they ve "invented" special slots for injured players.. what a fricking Joke!

Shoaib Akhtar is no doubt a legend fast bowler. As we know he has potential to perform but problem with the man is 'attitude'. In recent series in India he remaind busy in extra cricket activities and the result was obvious.
Pakistan team suffered a humiliating defeat. Another aspect for Shoaib is that he is/was involved in grouping in the team and this badly hurt the very spirit of the team.

Shoaib akthar no doubt is a good bowler he just needs to behave better and have better commitment! I'm sure he will start doing that sooner or later he behaved pretty well in India!

I think shoib in every team of pakistan. he can win matches for pakistan from nowhere. I already put some links on poll on shoib. He cant be retire at this time.
