my dear friend the main problem is that if your suggestion is right, even then nothing will happen because our new boys don't have respect for senior players.

I think that will not work.
His record shows that he was never a team guy.
And who remembers all those scandals.
You want more Paki players to be cought at airports with opium.......
A big NoNO

not a good idea, players should lead by example, his examples as you can see in the past have only bought pakistan team and country embarassment. True he is a great bowler but has no respect. Even if u look at his stat's they dont even come close to Wasim and Waqar.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to allow its cricketers to play in the IPL next season despite the fact that the league clashes with Sri Lanka's tour of England. The move could have far-reaching significance for the game, with England's players - who missed out on the IPL's first season - likely to push for the chance to play next year.
"We will be taking up the matter with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) shortly to find what alternatives we can arrive at without upsetting both parties," SLC chief executive Duleep Mendis said on Thursday evening after a meeting of the board. "The players were already committed to playing in the IPL for three years [2008-10] but have assured us they will give the 2011 tour of England top priority ahead of the IPL. Taking this into consideration we couldn't let them down."
It's understood the ECB has already signed a tour contract with SLC for three pre-Test warm-up games, two Tests, a one-day practice game against Somerset and three ODIs that will be held between April 21 and May 30. The tour details were announced by the ECB on Tuesday.

Replace "Akhtar" with "Malik", Shoaib is ok. and the rest of the nominations seem perfect! we will have an ideal combination

This is the old history of Pakistan Cricket. On the hand, it was hard for him to get place in International Squad and suddenly he is up for Captainship and I will not be surprised even when he has given Captainship. Because that is how it goes in Pakistan and the meeting of Rehman Malik with Naseem Ashraf and Shoaib Akhtar clearly indicates how our games are affected by our corrupt politicians.

I think its not a good idea as his physical fitness is not consistent. he has disciplnary problems and might be abusive to other younger players thus destroying their spirits
