| Shoaib Akhtar is back with a bang |
|
To defend a mere total of 133 in a T20 match against a team like Delhi DareDevils, you need a extraordinary performance from your bowlers.
Personally if a player facing a 5 year ban from international cricket allowed a month gap to play, you would expect him to play like fire.
Shoaib Akhtar was a choosen man for both the job. And he did what and how?
His team defended its total and won the match by 23 runs. He finished with the figures : 3 - 0 - 11 - 4 and walked away with the 'Man of the Match' award.
He got the Delhi captain Sehwag in his first over and Gambhir, the leading run scorer, in his next over. His third over gets two wickets in successive balls. And the rest of the job was done by his teammates.
You cant really imagine the Eden Gardens atmosphere. Electrifying !
"For me, my team is the most important thing," In post-match presentation ceremony Shoaib said ,"Kolkata is my home team. Eden Gardens is my home ground. Sharing the dressing room with Shah Rukh Khan and Sourav [Ganguly] was fantastic. They backed me. And I am really happy to perform. They put faith in me. And I am happy to deliver."
We are happy too to see the Kolkata Knight Riders winning. Ah, yes.., for the first time i really enjoyed his airplane celebration.

Eden Gardens is Shoaib Akhtars favourite ground. It is here he got Sachin tendulkar out on the very first ball.
We welcome him and expect him to continue the character he showed here.

Thats right shoaib akhter is back, he is best pace bowler in world .I dont know why PCB have problems with him ,just allow him to paly for pakistan as well .That will certainly will improve One day ranking of our team.

Shoaib Akhtar done his job exceptionaly. But former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram said,
"I had said Shoaib has the ability to perform in the IPL. He is the type of cricketer who is boosted by big crowds and centre stage. But the way Buchanan handled him also shows that he needs to be handled more firmly and professionally to get the best results out of him."
What is this? Is Shoaib that bad ?

IPL is last and only stage to perform for Shoaib, He got to make most out of it. I am sorry to say but i think we won't see him play for Pakistan anymore.

Guys Shoaib only performs once he really is pushed into a corner and once you start trusting him then he goes back to his old habits again. So I wouldnt start on that again.

the only problem with Shoaib Akhtar is that he works for money....he's being payed to perform well by the IPL team so he performs and when he's pushed into a corner.....when has he performed like this for the Pakistan team lately?
