Ever since I grew up and stumbled upon this, I've noticed, how this 'shayri' thing seems to be a Pakistani only sort of thing??? In the west you'd rarely have middleaged people bother with poetry...
Maybe some sentimental individual exceptions but that's it.
I don't see the point in it. In my view everyone's a hypocrite and you just make a bigger fool out of yourself by writing up philosophical rhymes.
