Quaid's portraits removed from President House

SLAMABAD: The portraits of Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah have been removed from the Prime Minister House and Presidential House, Geo News revealed Saturday.

Two days ago, President Asif Ali Zardari hosted a reception in the honour of national cricket team on winning the ICC Twenty20 World Cup title. On this occasion, the team players and officials had a group photo with President Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.

There are pictures of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Bilawal Zardari Bhutto and President Zardari without any picture of founder of Pakistan are seen hung in the backdrop of photo.

Similarly, an Internship Award ceremony was held with PM Gilani in chair on Friday. On this occasion, the stage was decorated with the pictures of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, President Zardari and PM Gilani; however, there was no picture of Quaid-e-Azam.

In a similar photograph, President Zardari was administering oath of Federal Mohtasib to Dr Shoaib Suddle; however, the backdrop flashed with a picture of Quaid-e-Awam sans any photo of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah.

Similarly, in a meeting with US delegation, no photograph of Muhammed Ali Jinnah was visible.

Under law, to hang the portrait of Quaid-e-Azam at offices of government officials, President and Prime Minister is compulsory.

after us pullout for same Iraqi areas CNNBBCFOXETC already calling that from now on "It Iraq's War now".... i think war is heading towards Pakistan.

Those pictures says it all that one day Bilalwal will be the president and from then ZABhutto will be consider as "Father of Nation" -- i don't know by that time if there will be any Pakistan remaining.

Even some pictures were published showing that Mr. Jinnah's pictures were missing, obviously replaced by Bhutto´s and Zardari´s pictures.

Both President and Prime Minister denied that any pictures of Mr. Jinnah had been replaced or removed.

The story has now disappeared from the Media, without any confirmation that whether the Pictures were actually removed/replaced or not.

Like all other things in Pakistan it is very hard to get real facts instead of hype, rumors and half-truths.

It is shocking to note that very few comments are posted under this caption which is of utmost importance. If there would have some glamrous subject then there would have been 100 of comments. this seems to be the part of media compaign against PPP govt .i have seen as some columns explaing what actually happen in this case .you may go through the column in express news on 1 july 2009.its also available on net.u may find the facts about this more

whatever was the reason, what we get from this is that the foto was taken where there is no Qaid'foto.

this was official foto and should have the Qaid's presence as it is in the Presidency. If Bilawal's foto can be there why cant the Father of the Nation is taken out. This is PPP govt but this is the Presidency of Pakistan not the drawing room or Mr. Zardari.
It should look like the Presidency instead of a personal room of zardaris.

It is all about the stature of that great leader as well the feelings & sentiments of this nation for their Quaid.If we forget his efforts or try to compare other leaders with him will be not only injustice rather "AHSAAN FARAMOSHI" of those commiting this crime.It is not about the picture of the Quaid (which is without any doubt uncontrovercial Quaid of all the True Pakistanis) because his respect & picture is in the hearts of all True Pakistanis.But we shouldn,t allow any TOM,Dick & Harry to hang his wife,Father in Law & son Pictures in the hughest offices of the Pakistan.Their Pictures should be in the PPP secretariat or Party offices,they don,r belongs to the nation highest offices.No matter how people try to manipulate thew facts for their own vested interests & for their own political gains.Without any doubt comparing or hanging some1 else pictures with the Quaid picture or at his place is the insult of this entire nation.But what can you expect from the people having no sound background who have arrived this offices by Hooks & Crookes.Through their western Masters & back doors(Under The table) deals.Those who have no stature,capabilities & back ground act weird like these dudes.It is a matter of Thoughts for us as a nature to stop them right away from such misschieves & show them how we loves & respect our Quaid.
