For all the people bashing President Musharraf:

Yes, he has made mistakes, he is not perfect. But, let us compare him with our previous three heads of state, Gen. Zia, Ms. Bhutto and Mr. Sharif. Are you all seriously suggesting that Pres. Musharraf is worse than those three? It is indeed sad that in a nation of 160 million we seem unable to find any political leader who is honest, sincere, and competent, one who does not treat Pakistan as his/her personal ATM. But unfortunately that is where we are today. So, at least for now, who is better than Pres. Musharraf? And let us not go into raptures over democracy, independent judiciary and free press! Not to say that those things are not important, but let us be realistic. In any case, for all the hooh hah about the govt. cracking down on the press etc., the newspapers still seem to be full of criticism of the govt., the Aaj and Geo TV folks are doing their supposedly "banned" programs on the street,presumably in full view of the authorities!

So, whereas one may not agree with some of President Musharraf's policies/decisions, at least he is trying to do his best for Pakistan. God help us with what comes next!

he is the most misunderstood person. because of a society bileveng in fanaticism which has no place in modern world. terrorists and hardliners must understand by common sense that the will acheive nothing because nobody can give them kashmir or vaziristan. they can not break the geographical bounderies of nations in this modern world because gone are those days when armies used to runover countries ies could run over countries. these terrorists are nothing but gundas hooligans who canonly create nuscenes. if they have courage come in open day light why they are hiding in tora bora or jungles if they are brave. we are brave.because we live open our prez lives where he should be. terrorist chupte firtay hai. kya enjoy kate hain life ko unke baccon ka kya future hai. bin laden apni beti se jane kab mila hoga. woh bhee sochti hogi ki usne kaisa baap paya hai jo use ke pas nahin raha. uske jinda ho te huey bhi wo yateem ki tarah rah rahi hai.wo ye bhi nahi kah sakti hai ki wo bin laden ki ladaki hai.

Musharraf big achievement is the modifications in constitution now there is no need of any emergency/marshal-law forever.
