Pakistan to host ICC Champions Trophy
LAHORE: After months of speculation, dark clouds hovering over Pakistan have disappeared as the International Cricket Council's decision to go ahead with Pakistan as the final host of the Champions Trophy in September.

Addressing a press conference here, the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Dr. Nasim Ashraf has said that Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy in September. He said many foreign players had expressed concerns about playing in Pakistan after which the ICC constituted a special Task Force to review security arrangements in Pakistan.

Dr. Nasim Ashraf said the Task Force would be headed by ICC President, David Morgan while Sharad Pawar; the President of BCCI would be Secretary. The PCB Chairman specially thanked India for supporting Pakistan. He termed Pakistan as the safest destination for holding the ICC Champions Trophy.

So we can now hope that Champions Trophy will help in Pakistan.

Player’s associations in non-Asian countries like South Africa, Australia, England and New Zeeland criticizing the ICC decision to hold the Champions Trophy in Pakistan and they are pressuring their respective board to pull out. I think ICC should penalized such players and board who try to compromise the integrity of the event

yes indeed it is a great news for pakistani cricket and all the pakistani cricket loving people. we have to prove to the world that we are a peaceful nation. some boards are considering boycotting this champions trophy but if that happens that would be a great loss for such a huge competition. i hope all the teams would participate in this exciting upcoming event.

ICC Champions Trophy - England - Australia - NewZealand... Reply with quote
I could not understand why cricketers of England , Southafrica Australia and New Zeland don't want to come to pakistan..??? No sportsmen in the history of pakistan had been attacked in terrorist activities... Why Australians did not Cancel their tour of England on 07/07 when London was bombared with Terrorists??? and they were busy in playing test cricket in London too??? Very strange....???

Recently , Shane Warne, Grame Smith, Shane watson was playing 20Twenty IPL in India and they were in Jaipur when many bomb blasted in jaipur... Whey they did not cancel their tour??? Why none of the player of these country cancel their IPL tour????

IF we pay $$$$$$$$$ to these cricketers, they will be ready to play in Kabul and Baghdad too... Then why not in pakistan???
