Hockey is our National game but people hardly take any intrest into it.
How about changing our national game to cricket?
i would love to have a brief debate on this tpic, if any ???

Pakistan Hockey need fair management who can give attentions towards hockey, they don't have time to settle their disputes how can they give attention towards hockey. There should not be any political interest in game.

Not sure about Hockey though...

With money creeps in the politics, make hockey as commercial as cricket and see how the filth of politics slithers in. Money is the honey to the insects of opportunity, and unfortunately the buzz of these bees is on rampage in Pakistan.
However, coming back to the point, Cricket is already de facto "National Game"

I dont get why cricket is so interesting..Spescially when they waste 6 hours of the time, and test aren't actually really better..I love hockey..Its really fun and it just last for about 2 hours..LOL..But i liked 20/20 world cup..first time i actually watched cricket on tv..
But i think its true that cricket contains a lot of money which hockey dosen't.

KARACHI: The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has composed the 2007 Men’s World All Star Team that includes Pakistan’s experienced midfielder Dilawar Hussain.
According to details announced by the FIH on Wednesday, the All Star squad includes 18 players and two coaches. Captain of the team is 2007 Player of the Year Jamie Dwyer from Australia.
Only the world’s best hockey players are selected for the All Star Team. It is for the second year since the introduction in 2006 that the FIH nominates the All Star Teams for men and women.
In the men’s All Star Team Germany, World Champion and Champions Trophy Winner in Kuala Lumpur, are represented by four players: Player of the Year 2007 nominee Matthias Witthaus, Tibor Weissenborn, Young Player of the Year 2007 nominee Moritz Fuerste, and goal keeper Ulrich Bubolz.
Also Australia, second placed at the 2006 World Cup as well as in Kuala Lumpur, are present with four stars: Jamie Dwyer, Brent Livermore, Bevan George and World Hockey Young Player of the Year 2007 Mark Knowles.
Dutch goalkeeper Guus Vogels, defender Taeke Taekema, the nominated Teun de Nooijer (POY) and Robert van der Horst (YPOY) represent the 2007 Champions Trophy bronze medallists in the All Star Team.
Other stars in the team are YPOY nominee Sergi Enrique and POY nominee Eduard Tubau from Spain, India’s star Dilip Tirkey, New Zealand’s Ryan Archibald, and the nominees Jong Ho Seo from Korea, and Dilawar Hussain.

if u think that cricket as national game.... dont u think in cricket we wont only one world cup
and in hockey we wont 4or 5 world cup and thats a world record
but now its an equal to germany
so im not in fabour of cricket as national game ........... as im hockey and squash player as well so i have vote for hockey
not for cricket .......... i like cricket tooo but not as national game

I like hockey and cricket.Not only like these but also playing hockey and cricket.Since a long time our hockey team did not plying as good game as it was in past.people are very dishurt and praying for good time will come soon.

Oh I watch this picture and little sad about pakistani Hockey. Pakistani Hockey team is a international champion before. Its our home land game. Now where we are right now in Hockey ? No where ? Lose the azlan shah hockey tournament .

We have been the world's best in Hockey before the rules were changed to favour the Europeans. But this does not mean we can not regain our position. We need to blend our game in such a style that the opponents can not be sure that are we playing asian or european style. Dependence only upon one style can make us predictable. With an element of surprise we can put psychological pressure on our opponents when they can not predict our moves.
We should never give up hope.............

I know but its not possible yet. Because cricket is more popular then hockey. Our kids forget to know that hockey is our national game. Now they started IPL thing. This will prompt cricket and damage hockey more. The other thing is money. The players who playing hockey for us , they dont have any other resource to getting money or run their families.
