ONE BAD HABIT

Its a common experience, for the Pakistanis living abroad, while speaking to their non pakistani neighbours or co workers or friends, they tell them everyhting in Pakistan is very very nice, and they do miss Pakistan a lot.

Once i witnessed a situation like that, (not in a middle east country )and i write here what happened

One pakistani said to another (non pakistani coworker) that in our Pakistan (actually he used the word Punjab)
the weather is very fine, and we do have pure milk and ghee, beautiful landscape and what not. He further said that in your country you dont have a beautfiul landscape, its too cold, life is very mechanical, the dresses are offending, non islamic, the culture is full of vulgarity , etc etc. etc.

His co worker, listened to all this calmly, and in the end said a simple sentence.

YOU ARE PRAISING A PLACE, WHICH FAILED TO FEED YOU
YOU ARE CURSING A COUNTRY THAT PROVIDES YOU A LIVING
WHATS WRONG WITH YOU PAKISTANIS

what do you think now........was he right to say so or not

Aimen Qazi has rightly said,"Ghar ke ghande kaprre beech chowrahe par nahi dohe jaathe".It is your own complexes & guilt of conscience.why shouldn,t one praise his country & its beauties which is entirely his own feelings.You have to feel & judge it with his eyes & feelings.I have notice from you different posts that you have annoyance & grievences with Pakistan but you cannot change it by changing your nationality or names.You have adopted Turks pronounced name "Ahmet" which infact is "Ahmad" kuniyat of our Rasool(SAW).For every one his country is paradise like beecause of his love & feelings.For Qais(Majnoon) his "kali kaloti"Lehla the pritiest,you can now argue that he wwas a Majnoon(Paagal) but so are we we love Pakistan un conditionaly we also don,t get anything from Pakistan in material sense but it is our homeland & we accept it the way it is.There is no doubt beauties in different part of Pakistan & specialities of different areas,so if a person praise Punjab,its milk & milk products what is wrong about it.So is the differeent beauties of our Sind,Pukhtookhwa,Balochistan & other areas which we are proud of.If you realise all these Turks working here in Germany at various jobs mostly as a laymen but they are still praising their country & proud of,so why should not we?I am proud of my hardworking Pakistanis brothers working in the different part of the world even as "Mazdoors" because they are earning their livelyhood with their sweat,no one is giving them for free.Even from these developed countries people goes to middle east & other parts for better earning,no one is asking them why you come here.it is your own complexes nothing else.We all have not landed here because of the economic situations,we are doing here businisses or jobs & getting our money according to our abilities & investments no one is so generous to give us for free.The important thing is that you earn your livelyhood Halaal,with lawfull means & through your sweat,if it is so so will be respected & even your country will be respected through your honesty,good behaviour & good conduct.i myself have selected the name of Pakistan for my outlet/company & Pakistani flag as a logo.I fairly compete with other nationalities including Indians without any complexes rather proud of my identity & with the grace of Almighty Allah respected as Pakistani And there are so many like me.Respect can be earned with healthy actions,whatever we do abroad rreflex back our country so we have to play the positive role as a ambassador of our nations.We don,t discuss our internal problems with strangers ttrying to promote & project the positive immage of our society & country.And we allow no one to say one wrong word about our country in our presence.By at large our culture can be compared with every culture,do you think Turkey or Cyprus have the better culture they are mish mash of different cultures ,they might have cleanliness,better system or buildings but it does not mean they have a better culture.The culture presented by the follower of Atta Turk Musharraf on the name of "Enlightened Moderation" folloowed by the segment of cultureless burgers families & generation doesn,t represent the Pakistani culture.We might lacks political system,Political,economical & social justice due to the false leadership & system,we might be suffering but Pakistani true culture can be compared with anyone.and i can say this because I have experienced most of the countries of the world from many years.You have qouted Iqbal verse without knowing the logic behind it,to know you have to study the Iqbal,s "Khudi" philosophy.I will qoute as usual the shehr of Iqbal Azeem:

i agree with the guy because you should not offend someone like that you are living in his country and the way he said theses people dont know how to dress properly then hes wrong because thats the way they dress and they are free in pakistan a girl is captured and then she betrays her family by calling guys and doing bad things Shocked

ITS AGAINST MY PRINCIPLE TO CRITICISE ANYBODY IN PERSON. I KNOW THAT EVERYBODY HAS GOT HIS OWN VIEWS, AND I DO RESPECT THAT. SO ITS AGAINST MY PRINCIPLE TO ATTACK ANYBODY.

If we follow the true teaching of Islam which teach us to obey the laws & the regulations of the country where we reside, to respect everyone religion & culture.We have to do so but on the other hand it doesn,t mean that we cannot praise our country,culture & nation.We can integrate in other countries but it doesn,t take away our love & respect for our country or nation.One should learn from any & anywhere the positive things.We can live anywhere with pride as a Pakistanis if we behave ourself,we can respect others but other have to respect us & so it can work.Why should we unnecessaliry live underpressure & having complexes.When we have self respect,self cognition & education to respect other spheres,why should we be ashamed of ourselves.I said everything generally pointing out those not having self & national respect,so don,t take it personal.Every body everywhere gets his lively hood written for him by Allah,if earned Halaal why should he have a guilty feelings & there are from every nation people working somewhere abroad for one or the other reasons which is destined.We should not feell our self inferior than anyone if we do everything legal & morally correct.I or many Pakistani inspite of our internal situation & problems do not compare any country with Pakistan because of our feelings of belonging.If we lacks some but do have many good things to be proud of.If we runaway from our family or we are anoyed with our family for one or the reason does not mean we shoul insult or talk bad about them.Yes I will remind you about your post where you have bitterly said that Pakistan has not given you anything there4 you have to migrate etc.Dear your respect is my respect & vise versa, I can have an understanding for your situations & problems but you should also have realisation for those working abroad uneducated or lacking some other abilities & brag or praise their country in the gush of their feelings.We as a fellow country men or atleast as a humanbeing can accept them & should have realisation for their envoirnment & feelings.If you feel ashamed of them cannot change the reality than try to teach them if you want any change but with love & feelings.Our respect is common & Islam teaches us that no one is inferior or superior due to his education level,social standard or his work etc.Think about it .I have never & will never try to hurt your feelings only wanted to give you a food of thought.

This discussion will not come to a halt if there is not a premise we all use to built our debate upon. As we are muslim than Islam will be a base to built our discussion on. So In Islam the rule is clear what ever is good you praise it and wherever there is evil you condemn it. Now the good and bad has to be evaluated on islamic bases and not our own limited views and opinions that are covering knowledge from mximum high school to university but rather good and bad is left to Allah (swt) to decide, the knower and creator of all knowledge. So the moral and spirtual vaccums and bad characteristics of western society must be told and with intention to cure it, Similary the corruption element of in our scoiety must be told as well. Also the discussion why we are 3rd world and why we remain there and why developed countries have econmically improved and those discussions will help us improve insha allahHope this message is taken in good spirit
