It was better for Pakistan that he has resigned.As we all like mind were against all his wrongdoings & we have always opposed his actions.We have to chose some new one as a President but not any from this lot of present polititions:usman wrote that Zardari is better I don,t agree (watch & see) He has plundered this nation,legalise his corruption & looted wealth (Already as a moveable & immoveable assets abroad) through the NRO which musharraf & Benazir/Zardari were equally culprits (Wealth belonging to this kept poor nation were dashed to him to save his chair).I would rather be happy if he would have cancelled tthe NRO b4 leaving his office.Nawaz Sharif has to ask nation for forgiveness about his mistakes eg.Responsible that time as a ruller for all the corruptions of Choudris Bros,He has miissused foreign currency accounts of our loyal Pakistanis (One day b4 transferred the huge amount it to foreign banks,When he left country through deal with Musharraf saving only his family members & his wealth but didn,t care for his loyal ones & the wealth of other pakistanis) He had collected through "Karz uttaro Mulk sanwaro" billions where is that money gone & justified.A leader is than a real leader capable of controlling,managing & organising all his cabinet,establishment,subordinates etc,he should be kept responsible & accountable for all the corruption done in his regime,attacking of Supreme court etc.He has only one quality giving him prefference over other Chors that He has more "Islamiat" & "Pakistaniat" than his counterparts.Usman Please a person like you should suggest the person like Shabaz Sharrif as a President ,he is the Zardari (Corrupt one) of PML(N).he might have changed after recovering from his severe disease,but it is not enough,he & his brother have not yet return the corruption money,they haven,t returned the loans of Pakistani banks they have not yet transferred their foreign assets back to Pakistan,They have not yet accepted their mistakes & ask the nation for forgiveness,If they would have done so we could support him.On Shabaz Sharif credit there were some good work done by him as a CM & he was a good administrator but charactaricaly he is also corrupt(I don,t want to go in detail):We want to change the whole poliitical system & structure.We want the cancellation of NRO,We might support NRO like in South Africa,we want the admission of mistakes,returning of nation plundered wealth as well as loans taken wrongly & not returned yet & the ending of personal Van data of every sort than we might think of giving those a chance.For a new president we need a clean,honest,Not yet tried,a man with self respect & dignity & a inside out Pakistani person & I don,t think so you will find in this present political parties.Musharraf was wrong & also all of these present polititions are corrupt we have to admit,therefore two wrongs doesn,t make one right.We should not prefer our own likes/dislikes,Political Affiliations,regional mentality,personal benefits & interests over the national interests(This I always said & mentioned).We should not only verbally but practically keep Pakistan & its nation first.I expect from all those forum mates thinking on the same lines to further tell truth & educate the nation as a impartial,neutral & unbiased observer.We have reached one mile stone but many left.

Well i have been listening and reading alot about musharaf.i think he did wrong things.....and in a way he also admits it .but if you look he has seen so many crisis and yet he coped them well. and those who have lotted pakistan ....... are still free...........
remember its not a happy day....... people suffering and will still suffer as these politicians even dont know how a poor man lives....Musharaf should have restored the judges and dismissed NRO... he did this mistake.
First 3 years of him were excellent and every one believes that because there were no politicians in his team.
We need a true leader .....not these politicians.

Musharraf appears to be going to Saudi Arabia.

This is a move by the US to put him into cold storage just in case he becomes of use later on in the future.

The same happened with Nawaz Sharif and the US brought him back when they felt his popularity had increased after people had forgotten his corruption.

I just pray in 5 years time we don't hear the people saying "...bring back Musharraf was such a good leader…”
When will we realise we need a change in this CORRUPT Nizam as well as these corrupt leaders.
Only Allah SWT can help us but He SWT has also informed us of the political actions we need to take in order to be successful. change in leadership and Nizam.

finally he resigned...i couldnt beleive my ears when he said that...i just hope that pakistan is going to stabilize now, even with all these zardari and nawaz sharif people...But I dont think they should let musharraf go so fast...he should get a trial, because the people should know what bad and for that sake, good things he have done...Maybe it will now be a change in pakistan i hope..
