It is my first post. With regard to survey of musharaf being most unpopular president i would like to say He is the same being most popular and effective back some times but he has done it to himself by leading PML (Q) He was at top when he had a limited cabinet before 2002 election but after that his decline started.

whats not mainly because you are not a resident of Pakistan and you dont seem to have any idea what is he doing there; you probably dont know what has been happening within Pakistan and what curses he has brought to Pakistan; on top of that his foreign policy is crap beyond reason. If you don't want anyone with Pakistani heritage and interest in Pakistani culture to comment about Pakistan then please state so upon signup process. And if that is the case, please revoke account for everyone who doesn't have a Pakistan passport - I hope you are verifying it somehow.

And also adjust your definiton of a 'Pakistani' to be who is resident and living in Pakistan. Ask Zardari to pass that law, and approved by the President and Supreme Court, until then sorry, I will comment whether you like it or not.

I am not here to bash anyone.

you are most welcome to talk about Pakistani heritage and take all your interest in the culture of Pakistan, music, movies, dramas, literature, whatever; you will be appreciated for that.

But when it comes to politics and leadership of Pakistan which is a far serious and sensitive matter for us Pakis that has hurt and bled whole Pakistani nation (which you deliberately or undeliberately dont want to acknowledge probably because of your ignorance) no other person from some other country who has no link to Pakistani politics or leadership or no contribution towards Pakistani politics and governance implicitly or explicity or who has never lived in Pak hence not knowing the internal condition have no right to tell Pakistanis what is right and what is wrong. Also supporting someone just because he is a hunk or handsome or whatever while being rubbish on other governing matters makes no sense that the person should be the president of a country, he might have been a good model in your views, so better call him a better model rather than a good president; in my views hes not even a human.

Your knowledge about internal political/governmental affairs of Pakistan is 180 degrees out of phase and is completely conflicting with facts and figures on the ground. You dont know how bad people think about musharraf, your arrogance of supporting him wouldnt change Pakistani people's thoughts about musharraf, so no use in supporting him blindly without any valid reason.

Well Musharaf is the unpopular president, that might be true. But does he depend on the popular vote to retain presidency. He is a dictator who holds power with the help of military establishment and politicians backed by the establishment. Therefore, I think the question of him being popular or not is irrelevant.

Pakistan and India relationships became better during Musharraf's regime first time in 60 yrs. First time Indian Army accepted cross border militancy has come to an end in decades. Now when I see those faces (Nawaz and Zardari)coming back to power again I realize Musharraf is far better than them.

i think people r gullible, to what they hear on tv, he has done more for pakistan than a lot of previous predecessers, it was unlucky to be caught in the recent elections, with so many over exageratted to certain events.

Musharaf's Agenda was to become the Mustafa Kamal Ataturk of Pakistan. Just as Mustafa Kamal destroyed and shatttered the Islamic Valus in Turkey , Musharaf was doing the same thing in Pakistan to Corrupt Islamic values and induce western culture. But nothing stands against the Will of Allah SWT. He will pay for his Sins , what he did to people of Red Mosque , the blood is on the neck of this person. American Puppet president.

This man has destroyed the whole country. He should be hanged publicly. Whatever is happening these days in pakistan Musharaf is the reason. He is wrost then worst.

Being President of Pakistan, Musharaf should understand and hear the words of its people. The only way to win over people is to act for their best interests and needs. Whilst the majority of the people of pakistan are asking for Musharaf to step down, he should go instead of holding on to last stings of power he has!

I have read almost all your posts ok tell me lets suppose Mr. Musharaf President of Pakistan leave his office do you think we have any capable leader in the country who can take control of this situation?

Do you think our so called political leaders will take Pakistan out of current situation? If you think yes then it is better we look into ERA of these two parties in a very recent past.

Try to look into newspapers when they were in power? Sometime it is better we should look into Pakistan history. All these political parties talk about democracy in Pakistan but they do not have that in there own parties and funny thing is that they all says 16 cores people of Pakistan are with them:) if this is real then our population should be multiple by numbers of parties we have in Pakistan.

About EX PCO judges which is an issue only for GEO TV(paid by one political party) and some political parties( in which most of them cannot even win one seat in election) are that important that we forget what people of Pakistan are suffering these days and what external problems Pakistan is facing nowadays . We have to see the bigger picture what our enemies are planning for us, no issue is important then Pakistan.

I think we forgot that all these ex PCO judges have taken oath under PCO few years back. Now they turn against Mr. Musharaf because he took action against him.

I request all Pakistanis please be untied so we can steer Pakistan out of these situation; and give better Pakistan to our younger generation.

Dear fb anwar your asked question is due to the lack of your conviction & imaan,no one is indespenceable or immortal,what is when some one dies which you think is the greatest leader?May be you are having some soft corner for Musharraf because of his missleading of nation or may be from his self created & claimed "enlightened Moderation".But with him including all those present in the parliament & in driving seat are all thieves proved by their intentions & practices.We should reject all those if we love our country & not having own like/dislikes Or personal interests or benefits.We need someone new real patriotic,dynamic,honest & having vision to lead this country.The personalities are not important our priority should be Pakistan & our nation.We need someone to bring drastic positive changes,bring good & justice governance,a political structure that suits the majority needs & a political system which is not running arround the personalities or few faces rather which serves & safeguard the interest of the majority of the masses of Pakistan.
