| Munaf Kalia, Javed Khanani remanded to FIA |
|
Munaf Kalia, Javed Khanani and others accused of being involved in the scandal of illegally transferring billions of dollars abroad were handed over on remand to FIA today.
Munaf Kalia was presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate, Muhammad Umar Awan at the City Court here, when the court ordered giving him on three-day transit remand to FIA for taking him to Lahore during this time for further grilling.
The attorney of the accused made a plea in the court that Munaf Kalia was ill and a medical report was also presented in this regard.
On the other hand, Lahore Special Magistrate handed over Javed Khanani, Tariq Mahmood and Rustam Ali in the custody of FIA on four-day physical remand, while the accused would again be presented in the court of Lahore Area Magistrate on November 14. Khanani & Kalia Company has been charged for violating foreign exchange laws and is on trial.

Well in my point of view they are looking culprits of pakistan, if this allegation proved on them, they should be punished hard, so that it would be lesson for others?

Well, it would be incorrect to blame anyone of these at such early a stage unless these are proven to be guilty... And even if they are proven as such, who would know if these proven charges are true. What is needed more at the stage the economy and overall the nation is presently going through - is a sincere thought on the part of each one of us as to what we ourselves have done or can do to improve the situation. One thing atleast that each one of us can do is to pray to the Lord of all Lords to show us all the right path - the path of those, whom He has blessed and not of those who went astray (Al Fatiha)... Aameen Suma Ameen...
