Mr. Zardari A true shadow of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto

I was probably 14 when I got sense of understanding of national politics perhaps this could be natural because politics is the most commonly discussed among most citizens in Pakistan therefore, when Ms. Bhutto first arrived from her exile from London and was ready to start her political venture after the brutal judicial death of her father in mid 70’s at the same time we also heard of her wedding bells with Mr. Asif Ali Zardari a son of famous politician from Nawabshah Mr. Hakim Ali Zardari. Most people in Pakistan never heard of Mr. Zardari by then but nevertheless every one was very much jubilant to hear it was wedding bells of the daughter of Late shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto & Nusrat Bhutto. I strongly remember listening to the tapes released on their wedding was not less than a fairy tale marriage of Pakistan or I would say Pakistani version of British Royal wedding at a time when she (Ms. Bhutto) was in her full swing of political carrier.
I wouldn’t be talking too much here of more about their people’s wedding but to highlight Asif Ali Zardari. He was born in Karachi on 21st July 1956 and continued his basic education in Karachi.
Asif served as a member of the National Assembly and as Environment Minister during the second term of his wife's premiership. His last position in the government of Pakistan was as a senator until 1999, when the senate and assemblies were dissolved by Gen. Pervez Musharraf, who took over the reins of the government in a coup against the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
As I’ve mentioned above our Pakistani nation is very much in love with national politics despite having any reasons for it or not so most of our people projected Mr. Zardari an evil eye of even some of them has been given the nickname "Mr. Ten Percent" by the media and other Pakistani figures because of the alleged 10% extortion he forced on people during the PPP governments by that has not been proved even he was put behind the bars for over 8 years and people who were in power so many years with full right on almost every institution of Pakistan couldn’t prove a single fraud case against him because most of the cases were brought in to pressure rise his wife to stay away from Pakistan’s Politics . Unfortunately Pakistan’s media has always been highly critical to Pakistan people’s party than its opponents Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz despite what they did in the past may be it’s our media that really made trialed ppp more than any other party in our country. Mr. Zardari has been behind the bars for so many years and never agreed to time of government to let his wife down and stood by her on every difficult time of her. I also would like to mention here how a newly married couple survives at the beginning of their martial life that has begun only few years ago he was sent behind bars. If we looked at Pakistan’s democratic struggles no party other Pakistan’ People’s Party has ever struggled or sacrificed than any one ever. From its founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to her great daughter who took his legacy Shaheed Benazir Bhutto till she returned to this country despite knowing her life was in great danger. She gave her life for this country! Does any other party ever offered life or their leaders have been assassinated publically? Well we get answer for this question without any doubts no one that I or any other Pakistani knows.

Most people and our media have mostly criticized his role in Pakistani politics than projecting him a well wisher of Pakistan. I’ve been watching and listening his interviews and different statements coming I found him an exact shadow of late Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto’s who used to think most of the time before she goes head with media . Asif Ali Zardari has proved himself a great politician as well a great well wisher of Pakistani nation, most people may not agree what I stated but if we look at few month back when the chairperson of Pakistani People’s Party & two time elected prime – Minister of Pakistan was publically assassinated in a mastermind attacked he is the one who first raised his voice of great federation in sindhi ‘’ Pakistan Kape’’ ( We need Pakistan ) keeping in his mind what Pakistan or its establishment has ever offered to him or his family other than a great loss of his wife and mother of his three young children or over eight years of jail. He was the first one who came forward asking people of Pakistan to calm down and made them to act sensibly; he was the one who continued to wow the democracy in Pakistan as a promise of his late wife. Mr. Zardari may have taken some wrong decisions in his life, which every one does as human being because we all make mistakes as we all learn from it. I strongly believe Mr. Asif Ali Zardari has learnt a lot from his past experiences and coming up as a bard new political leader who is carrying a great legacy of his wife who was not only intelligent women but also a great scholar. I’ve never seen Zardari has been credited for his good deeds where as comparing to his opponent Nawaz Sharif praised on every occasion on national politics. I see our media has been extremely hostile towards him; however, he has done so much for media’s freedom in the country since his government has come to power. It was him who made Nawaz Sharif agreed to take part in elections that were hold this year or they would be out of today’s national politics at least within our parliament. Lots of people blame Zardari for not re instating judiciary but no one understands his point of view of restoring the judiciary not just one person , because in the past judges outside now were the same judges who took oath from Mushraff and once they got dispute on certain issue they got each other and off course who got the power remained in power , as I myself don’t want to into details or in the past why our supreme courts never up held any decisions for the governments from sindh whereas , Punjab governments had been restored by our courts ! Why one province has been discriminated while the others not. Having all these in our mind if Mr. Zardari calls for national unity then we people of Pakistani should appreciate some good deeds of him or better steps has taken for our country.

At the end, I would like to say though I don’t live in Pakistan but I do constantly watch every single move has been taken to save my beloved country and people who are directly responsible for it. I also would like to request our media please don’t jump to conclusions and stop media trial against just one person or party. I wish Pakistan People’s party & Mr. Asif Ali Zardari should also be credited for al efforts he has been making for our country should be presented well. I’ve heard him speaking , I heard his thoughts , I felt his love for country and I also felt how he look into Pakistan in future that is exactly the same as Late Mohthrama Shaheed Benazir Bhutto used to see a welfare state where people of Pakistan live pride as well a great strong nation for which she was assassinated last year .
