Mirza Aslam Beg was the Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army succeeding General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, after the latter died in the air crash on August 17, 1988. He continued to hold the powerful post of Army Chief till 1991, when his political ambitions forced the then president Ghulam Ishaq Khan to nominate General Asif Nawaz as the new Army chief three months prior to Gen Beg’s retirement.

general sahib nay yeh nahin kaha kay jab woh fauj main thay us waqt bhi aik fauji dictator nay afghanistan ki jang main pakistan ko mulawwis kar diya tha jis kay nateejay main hamara mulk heroine aur kalashinkov ka ghar ban giya tha aur ab bhi hum usi jang kay phal toor rahay hain.

Again americans, british, and indians along with their masters are trying to do destroy pakistan. I'm crying right now cause what i have heard that all the tribal areas along with anp leader are bought by americans. asfandyar wali was bought by usa for millions of dollars and now these guys are trying to break off from pakistan at the same time india is helping the pashtoons and anp along with the BNP. On top of all this the germans, french and NATO all want indian forces in afghanistan. Pakistan is in great turmoil. We are printing millions of rupees just to keep our country alive at this point it hink our currency is going to become a russian Rubal and will have absolutley no value in a few months. You cannot just keep printing money to cover your deficit. Our political leaders, military generals are sold out and at this point USA and india are trying to play the bangladesh game again.

I dont know why the public does not come out and throw the corrupt out of power. If we all come out and do it collectively we can not only get rid of the so called leaders but can also get rid of the US intelligence bases in pakistan, finish all the sold out terrorists working for india and the usa.

I respect Gen.Aslam Baig analysis.No doubt as a Army chief & after he didn,t demoralised the nation.We are Muslim & we should always be optimistic.We should only have a realisation not to forget ourselves & the Allah shown way to us.

Thanks for putting the things infront of the people of Pakistan. However I sure hope that you will also SHED light on the biggest killings of the CREAM of Pakistani Military which happened in 1988. Yes, I am referring to the Accident of General Zia when he along with our top General's was killed.

You were the only senior general who was left alive and who (mysteriously) didn't travel with Gen. Zia on that day ? An inquiry was also held in this accident. Can you also do us a favour and let us know the reasons and cause behind this accident ?

Hope to hear from you soon on this as well.

As info, the SOP in Pak Army is that chief and his 2ic can never travel together which is why Gen Beg didnt travel with Gen Zia. Similarly the VP and Pres of USA can not travel together. I do want to know from Gen Beg that why the enquiry report of Gen Zia's accident never made public? How come nuclear assets could leave the highly protected and fortified area without Army's knowledge?

It is a correct information.I respect the proffessionalism of Gen.Retd Aslam Beg.He didn,t impossed Martial Law than in the situation,where he could easilly took over.He also resigned in time,so we should not criticise someone for the sake of criticism.One can compare his personality with the Musharraf to know the difference.If he wouldn,t be reliable & capable Sen.Lt.General,The shrewd person like Zia Ul Haq would not have appointed him as a second in command.As a political analyst he is straight forward,blunt & to the point.His critics are always based on facts.

Zain ul Ahsan.In fact we should listen to those having the insight of the system.We should not be objective in our thoughts & views.We cannot turn down all the intellectuals.To expect the utmost perfection will be difficult.The basic problem is the wrong & corrupt political system(In fact no system is existing).Masses due to their naivity chose wrong representatives ,when felt theirselves betrayed & decieved becomes doubtfull about every one.But no angles will come to serve & rescue us there4 we have to rely on those hand full of people not yet tried having bettr credibility & reputation.We should keep the National interest at priority.
