Message of Allah to Human Beings

Asalam-o-Alaikum!

Alhamdulillah Allah gave me the opportunity to perform Hajj in 2006 (1427 A.H.). During our stay in Madina, our guide showed us different historical places. After Isha prayer he also showed us some historical and important places inside Masjid ul Nabvi.

After we had visited Masjid ul Nabvi, he gathered all of us at one place and asked us a question that Allah has sent a message for us. Do you know what is that message? All people kept quiet for some time, then someone replied it is Kalma. The guide said no to his response. Then another person said it is Islam. The guide said no its not the exact answer. Then again all people kept quiet again for some time. Then a boy replied it is QURAN. Then guide smiled and said yes... Yes it is QURAN.

And he continued that Allah has sent his message for us through his messenger; Prophet Muhammad (SAW). On the day of judgement, if Allah will ask us that I sent a message to you. Have you read that? And what will be our reply to that question; Which message? or I know about your message but I could not read that. I was too busy in the world to take out time to read that.

(Think that if your company has sent you on a short business trip to some other country and while you are there your boss sends you some important message related to client/business. Your boss made all the arrangments to make sure that you get the message. But still if you don't see his message or you don't read it. And then you come back. Your boss will ask that I sent you a message. What did you do? If you reply which message? Or yes I saw your message but I did not read that. You can imagine that what will be response of your boss. Similarly you can imagine the day when Allah will ask this question. He is the Lord.)

Allah has sent us message that tells us how to spend life in the world. Allah's Message (Quran) is meant to be read in the world. Our guide asked us to promise on that day to read at least one page each day with translation so that we can understand that what message Allah has sent for us. He said it will take only 10 minutes to read a page and even if it takes more time, it is worth spending time for this purpose. He said that during this period if we die then at least we will have something to tell Allah that we were reading and understating your message (Quran) while we died.

This was really a good short speech by him and left some footprints on my heart and life. These days, to understand Allah's message, I am listening tafseer by Dr. Israr Ahmed. That tafseer is really good.
