This is the breakdown of mechanisms that how our country is governed since its inception....you can agree or disagree with it but this is just the inderstanding of a certain individual of Pakistan out of many millions of voices of our country.

It seems quite funny and emotionally correct but I think pakistan is not governed by US or UK etc because they are very very good in governing things ..... we cannot get rid of our mistakes or crimes that we have bad government by saying that they are taking part in it ......
yes they are getting their things done by "some means" because we are not good in governing ourselves ......
i do not go in details about our governing structure ............... but good to see that we are discussing it .... continue .. thanks

well the other day i was learning the King Leopold II Atrocities in Africa in which hundreds of thousands were killed .at that time the king leopold country was developed but they left africa and killed their leaders like lumumba there. Also Take America in Afghanistan for instance,if their condition and governance became worse or just reach the threshold of optimal and the answero is governance become worse...So you cannot say that if we got dictation from bigger and developed countries then we should be governed best...also politics is more complex then it seems..it could be possible that out so called allies could be our foes...and you wonder what is Saudi Arabia doing in the list then the answer is very simple that Saudi Arabia helped brokered a deal between Nawaz Sharif and Musharraf..Saudi Officials were one of the guaranteers for the worst ordianance known as National Reconciliation Ordinance(NRO) that destroys the rule of the law in Pakistan...Interestingly Saudi Arabia now have offered Musharraf a stay in their land if Pakistan Gov will go against Musharraf..Saudi Governmenr have always supported corrupt all over the world ...take the example of IDI AMIN .he killed hundreds of thousands of people and at the end Saudi Gov give him refuge and he died in Saudi Arabia..:After visiting Saudi Arabia now Nawaz Sharif is tight lipped for Musharraf coz of Saudi Arabia.....The irony is that if some person do some theft in Saudi Arabia they chop of the hand of that person but interestingly they make the rules and laws for other countries to how to evade corruption just like NRO.....Also you are right that we should see ourself as well but the reality is that ordinary people are far far away from the government of Pakistan and it will continue to pesist in near future as well as we love to live in ignorance.

...So you cannot say that if we got dictation from bigger and developed countries then we should be governed best... ------ also politics is more complex then it seems..it could be possible that out so called allies could be our foes... --------- but the reality is that ordinary people are far far away from the government of Pakistan and it will continue to pesist in near future as well as we love to live in ignorance. |
........ I didnt say that getting dictation is a better option for good governance .... I was just commenting on the government structure ..... if on top USA and UK are as top government responsible parties then it indicates that governance is based on their policies etc .... if you want to show only "dictation in some matters" then please show it in other way for a "nearer to real" government structure in our country ......
you mentioned pakistan's biggest problem .... ordinary people are not involved in policy matters ....... main reason is actually these ordinary people themselves ........ i feel sad to write this but i think its correct ....... 60% or more of members of national or provincial assemblies are son, brother, sister etc of our "kings", "barons", "barahmans" .... because they elect them .... all parties are more or less equally good or bad ... but worse are the workers who do not demand from their party kings that no other relative of a leader should be given to ticket otherwise they will not support them ........
just some thoughts .....

yes you are right that ordinary people have some problems as well as they dont want a change .Actually the America and other countries are a metaphor for what is known as the illicit government policies that are made and exercized outside the parliament..Ofcourse we cannot blame other countries for our demise and we have to do more for our Country to prosper espacially in hampering the corruption that is plaguing our country...Also this breakdown is not made by me..My friend share it me and i share it you people so it is just of the many opinions stated by the people of Pakistan and this is the outcome of one of such efforts.

Hassan would you please don't mind to listen me for a while. Although most of your expressions are correct and realistic but sometimes you become so harsh that leave no choice for others but to leave this forum. This is for the second time you are passing remarks about Saudi Arabia so violent without taking any care that I fear you may damage our own national interests. We, mean Pakistan has already numbers of enemies and some times, although unintentionally but it looks that instead to decrease you are increasing them. Just for an example of Gen. Musharraf. Wasn't that our own mistake? We let him go abroad with guard of honor. Didn't we? Once we let him go out then what is a need to cry over spilt milk? Saudi Arab just wanted us to not destabilize our own country. In recent past for the 1st time in history, KSA released 6 persons of a Karachi family unpunished in a heroin smuggling case, on the request of Pakistan. Is that an interruption in Saudi Laws? No, but that was an honor for Pakistan that Saudi Arabia honored our request for those innocents. In 2005 earth quake, this was Saudi Arabia who helped Pakistan the most of all. On Kashmir issue, Saudi Arabia fully supports our view. After nuclear experiments when our friend USA and UNO sanctioned us, it was Saudi Arabia who helped us. An agreement is on the record that Saudi Arabia provided us JP4 and JP8 graded fuel (as costly as petrol) for our fighter aircrafts of our airforce for free and other petroleum liquids on special discount rates for 6 years. Nawaz Sharif himself is a big thief, how he can ask anyone else for theft. He is an owner of an industrial empire and pay not tax. He does not have the courage to enter a petition against P. Musharraf even in Lahore Court. Dear friend, we must accept our own faults that we had committed in the Past and should take care, not to commit those again in future.
With regards.

Ok brother next time i will be careful...besides it was a part of report of some person stating the practices of the our country and not made by me..Also next time i will avoid posts that create the controversies but still I think the above post is valid in a sense as it is just the difference of opinion of some individual of Pakistan and also I might disagree with that breakdown as well. But on the other hand it actually lies in the freedom of speech of some individual as what they the percieve of the situation of our country.

Thank you very much you got the message I wanted to convey you. As I told earlier that you are correct and still I believe in your correctness. All that I wanted to guard your and my national interest.
Little about freedom of expression. Will you believe in me in Europe and in the West, they (media personals) pay millions of dollars in case they pass a wrong statement against some one. In case they pass a faulty statement against the state, their licences are cancelled and trailed by courts. The reason is, that expressing against own state is a crime and is dealt under traitory act. (That small difference should be well understood to every one who want be a good journalist). In case they are right but fail to prove their statement true, even then punished severely. Although that is not fair, but makes them responsible and responsibility teaches professionalism. Thats why they are quite ahead of us in journalism. But here in Pakistan, every thing is opposite to them. We pass remarks and feel no responsibility of correctness. We know, no one will ask us, what so we say about others and nation. Fortunately if some one is asked about his statement, unfortunately he starts crying freedom of expressions. If he is right, he must not be aware of accountability. Accountability and self accountability will lead us towards perfection, success and prosperity.
Is freedom of expression a licence to express own knowledge in community, without the confirmation of its correction? No, and no sensable person will agree with that.
In simple words, No one can be bound for freedom of expression. I agree 110% with you but as some one can not be bound, same no one has the right to use that freedom in a wrong way.
Regards.

Beggars have no choice.
Our selection of our leaders have fallen us in all the mess confronting our country. If we want to get rid of the problems we will have to vote only for that person who is a real honest man with no family tree of Vaderas, Chaudries or professional politicians whose bread & butter is through politics. We need honest, courageous leaders who can help this nation stand on its own feet. The leader who can remain away from Swiss bank accounts. We need leaders who are from amongst us (common people).

yes i agree with you that freedom of expression is something that cannot be exactly defined .Actually Pakistani media is nurturing so do the people and if we let them evolve then after a certain instant of time i think the media and the people will be responsible and will understand the real media and how to let your message be heard with the notion that your national interests be safeguarded and at the same time you will be able to convey your intented message.

it nice of you to share your thoughts and i am glad that now a days that Pakistanis rather than blaming others for the demise have started to think that first of all they have to change them individually and with individual efforts we can change the soceity and also if media plays a positve role then media can be at the forefront of the revolution.

Written by a Pakistani journalist about India ( Must Read)

Here's what is happening in India :
The two Ambani brothers can buy 100 percent of every company listed on
the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and would still be left with $30
billion to spare. The four richest Indians can buy up all goods and
services produced over a year by 169 million Pakistanis and still be
left with $60 billion to spare. The four richest Indians are now richer
than the forty richest Chinese.
In November, Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark Sensex flirted with
20,000 points. As a consequence, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries
became a $100 billion company (the entire KSE is capitalized at $65
billion). Mukesh owns
48 percent of Reliance.
In November, comes Neeta's birthday. Neeta turned forty-four three weeks
ago. Look what she got from her husband as her birthday present: A
sixty-million dollar jet with a custom fitted master bedroom, bathroom
with mood lighting, a sky bar, entertainment cabins, satellite
television, wireless communication and a separate cabin with game
consoles. Neeta is Mukesh Ambani's wife, and Mukesh is not India 's
richest but the second richest.
Mukesh is now building his new home, Residence Antillia (after a
mythical, phantom island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean ). At a cost of
$1 billion this would be the most expensive home on the face of the
planet. At 173 meters tall Mukesh's new family residence, for a family
of six, will be the equivalent of a 60-storeyed building. The first six
floors are reserved for parking. The seventh floor is for car servicing
and maintenance. The eighth floor houses a mini-theatre. Then there's a
health club, a gym and a swimming pool. Two floors are reserved for
Ambani family's guests. Four floors above the guest floors are family
floors all with a superb view of the Arabian Sea . On top of everything
are three helipads. A staff of 600 is expected to care for the family
and their family home.
In 2004, India became the 3rd most attractive foreign direct investment
destination... Pakistan wasn't even in the top 25 countries.
In 2004, the United Nations, the representative body of 192 sovereign
member states, had requested the Election Commission of India to assist
the UN in the holding elections in Al Jumhuriyah al Iraqiyah and
Dowlat-e Eslami-ye Afghanestan.. Why the Election Commission of India
and not the Election Commission of Pakistan? After all, Islamabad is
closer to Kabul than is Delhi .
Imagine, 12 percent of all American scientists are of Indian origin; 38
percent of doctors in America are Indian; 36 percent of NASA scientists
are Indians; 34 percent of Microsoft employees are Indians; and 28
percent of IBM employees are Indians.
For the record: Sabeer Bhatia created and founded Hotmail... Sun
Microsystems was founded by Vinod Khosla. The Intel Pentium processor,
that runs 90 percent of all computers, was fathered by Vinod Dham. Rajiv
Gupta co-invented Hewlett Packard's E-speak project. Four out often
Silicon Valley start-ups are run by Indians. Bollywood produces 800
movies per year and six Indian ladies have won Miss Universe/Miss World
titles over the past 10 years.
For the record: Azim Premji, the richest Muslim entrepreneur on the face
of the planet, was born in Bombay and now lives in Bangalore.India now
has more than three dozen billionaires; Pakistan has none (not a single
dollar
billionaire) .
The other amazing aspect is the rapid pace at which India is creating
wealth. In 2002, Dhirubhai Ambani, Mukesh and Anil Ambani's father, left
his two sons a fortune worth $2.8 billion. In 2007, their combined
wealth stood at $94 billion.. On 29 October 2007, as a result of the
stock market rally and the appreciation of the Indian rupee, Mukesh
became the richest person in the world, with net worth climbing to
US$63.2 billion (Bill Gates, the richest American, stands at around $56
billion). Indians and Pakistanis have the same Y-chromosome haplogroup.
We have the same genetic sequence and the same genetic marker (namely:
M124).
We have the same DNA molecule, the same DNA sequence. Our culture, our
traditions and our cuisine are all the same. We watch the same movies
and sing the same songs.
What is it that Indians have and we don't?
INDIANS ELECT THEIR LEADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And also to mention: They think of Construction of own nation, unlike
other nations who are just concerned with destruction of others...
Simple answer why the Indian fare better than the Pakistani'.. They
don't focus on religion and neither do they spend time and money in
devising ways to kill their own and everyone else over religion..

You are right that we always had leader who who were worst than previous one but this is not the only reason for deterioting condition of our country , we all common people are also responsible for that , do we follow simple rules and regulation , do we take any part in improving cleaniliness in of our gali mohalas , do we ever tries to stop any one from wall chalking , do we always speak truth in our day to day matters , do we care about neighbours , dont we through garbbage on raods while driving the car , these are very small things which we are not doing than how can we expect that we can get good leaders because i read some where key Tum per waisey he hukmran hongey jaisey key tum khud ho , to first of all we try to improve our social and civic behaviour then we can choose the right person to rule our country and right now we can only pray becuase people are commiting sucide becuase of hunger and our media ia covering the breakfast of nawaz sharif and PM shame on us

Nitin_Indian, what do you want to tell us. For all your story, here is an answer, how did they get so rich? Will you please quote their tax paid receipts here. There are numbers of people in pakistan who can buy an half of India. Will you beleive in this that two of our politicians, the head of ruling party and the opposition leader both are bank defaulters of 268 billion rupees. Have you ever heard of such a big amount taken by just two men?

| rich men?? |

i dont see any reason in comparing number of rich people in a country as an indicator of prosperity of a country ....... but in any case india is treading the path of prosperity much faster than pakistan ...... correct ........ we should find out the reasons why and try to take the correct steps ........for example better politacal process ... less corruption etc

Yes i agree.
In India, dumb common Indians think that money of their Politicians,Corporates and bureaucrats is a national asset whereas in Pakistan people have realized that money of their leaders is the personal asset of the corrupted leaders.
Nitin_india, i think asif ali zardari has enough money and assets (disclosed and undisclosed) that he can keep Ambanis and Mittals to be his Naukars.

| to all those who are bashing INDIA |

for me it was very funny. but seriously, looking at it at an unbiased angle, it was horrible. While reading all your comments, it seemed like Pakistan is a host to pathetic people who live in misery and won't accept the successes of her neighbor even if they ARE real successes. Zardari can hire Ambani as his "naukar"? Seriously?
What nitin states is only half-true though. India IS leading with a higher market value with more Rich guys and more businesses. Considering their population and natural resources, it would be a shame if they hadn't at least achieved this much. What they have, is too little for the size of India. It is known that humans from these regions have keen analytical skills so they are better engineers and doctors here. India found its assets at an early stage. We are still illusive.
I am a staunch Pakistani and I know for a fact that real Pakistanis do not bash other nations especially those who are our sworn enemies. Since we are also muslims in majority, we should try to act as our Prophet (S.A.W) acted, humble towards those who meant him harm.

I am glad to the flag of Saudi Arabia in the list of countries and institutions who are controlling Pakistan. I don't understand why people deny the simple facts and continue to beleive that since Saudis are the richest muslim they are Pakistan's best friends. All the trouble that Pakistan or different parts of the world are facing now is because of the people who idealize Saudia and follow the same sact of Islam (Wahabi) as Saudi Monachs created and follow and wanted to spread every where.
