| Lockheed to supply 18 latest F16s to Pakistan |

Lockheed Martin Corp LMT.N> was awarded a $498.2 million contract to supply F-16 aircraft to Pakistan, the U.S. Pentagon said. Lockheed will sell 12 F-16C plus 6 F-16D planes to Pakistan under the contract, the Pentagon said in its daily list of defense contract awards. The U.S. Defense Department, which oversees sales of military weapons to foreign governments, did not say how soon the fighter jets would be delivered.
The United States has agreed to sell Pakistan up to 36 new F-16 jets together with refurbished F-16s.

btw, 4 already have been delivered in the past 6 months or so. In addition, these 18 will be added to PAF inventory.

Wondring that why India denied to accept an offer from USA to buy F-16 
I think that was Pakistani F-16 thoese were never delieverd to Pakistan

It doesn't matter. Initially, PAF were planning to get a lot more F-16s, but the number was cut substantially due to other better alternatives such as J-10 and the more advanced version of JF-17. Besides, the F-16 comes with too many strings attached. Something Pakistan cannot afford at this point of time. The new F-16 Block 52+ and upgraded MLUs will serve as good gap fillers and nothing more.
