'Khanewal (Urdu: خانیوال) is a Mega City which is almost one hour drive from Multan in Punjab, Pakistan.

Historically Khanewal is too Old city. District Khanewal was created in 1985 out of the two tehsils of Khanewal district namely Kabirwala and Mian Channu. Its boundaries meet districts of Jhang and Toba Tek Singh on the North, Sahiwal district on the East, Vehari on South and with district Multan on West. District Khanewal is spread over an area of 4349 square Kilometres and comprises the three tehsils of:

Jhania
Jhania is one of the four tehsils (sub-districts) of Khanewal district. Its the smalles of the four tehsils. The town it self has about one hndred thousand resident, and its one of the cleanest town in the Southern Pumjab. The majority of the people in the Jhania tehsil live in the county side. There numerous villages in size ranging from 500 people to 5,000. One of the village in the tehsil is 104/10.R, also know as Purana Char

Mian Channu is a Tehsil and City in Khanewal district, 20 Km from Tulamba

Tulamba
Tulamba (Urdu: تلمبہ) {or Tulambah} is a small city in Pakistani Punjab. A native of Tulamba is referred to as a Tulmabvi. It's situated on the eastern edge of the river Ravi, between the cities of Abdul Hakeem and Mian Channu. Earlier it belonged to the district of Multan, but in 1985 Tulamba was included in the newly made district of Khanewal. Tulamba's population is nearly 50,000. Spoken language is Rachnavi Punjabi (also called Jangli).

Sites of Interest
The Ruins are present on the edge of the city. The Sidhnai Canal and a point on the edge of river Ravi (called T) are also good for picnic.
