| Kashmiri Leader Refused To Meet Pakistani Foreign Secretary |
|
Syed Ali Gilani, the head of All Parties Hurriat Conference-Gilani [APHC-G] has decided not to meet any Pakistani official protesting against the existing Kashmir Policy of the Pakistani Government. He rebuffed the invitation of meeting with Salman Bashir, the Foreign Secretary of Pakistan in the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Sunday, while on the other hand, the leaders of All Parties Hurriat Conference-Mir Waiz [APHC-M], Mir Waiz Umar Faruq, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Sheikh Aziz and Yasin Malik, the chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front [JKLF] have held prolonged meetings with the foreign secretary of Pakistan.
While talking to the daily Ummat via telephone from Srinagar, Syed Ali Shah Gilani said, the consultative circle of the APHC-G has principally and formally taken this decision that APHC-G will not meet any Pakistani representative on any forum until complete change in the existing Kashmir policy of the Pakistani Government, nor will it accept customary invitation in this regard.
Syed Ali Shah Gilani said that the incumbent government has extremely disappointed the Kashmiri nation by following deplorable and discomforting Kashmir Policy of the President Musharraf and that they have adopted apologetic attitude despite unfounded allegations from the Indian side.
In regard to the military activities in the Indian Held Kashmir, Syed Ali Shah Gilani said the thousands of Kashmiris have proved by launching a successful movement against India over the current issue of land transfer to the Amarnath Shrine Board that the Kashmiris will continue their struggle until their liberation from the Indian slavery.
In the meanwhile, while talking to the daily Ummat on telephone from New Delhi, after meeting with Salman Bashir, the Pakistani Foreign Secretary, Mir Waiz Umar Faruq, the head of the APHC-M, said that the meeting with Salman Bashir, the foreign secretary was quite fruitful. He said, "We put our demand before the Pakistani Government to ensure the participation of the Kashmiri leadership in the talks with India for the resolution of the Kashmir Issue."
He said, "The talks between India and Pakistan has not affected the ground realities in Kashmir at all and the circumstances have not been changed. Hence, we make this demand that the Pakistani Government should take practical measures to ensure the participation of the Kashmiri leadership in talks with the Indian Government.
