Islamabad Police Lines Suicide Bomb Blast

ISLAMABAD: At least eight people were injured when a suicide bomber hit his explosive-laden vehicle with building of anti-terrorist squad (ATS) near Police line in Islamabad on Thursday.

According to a foreign news agency, eight people were killed in a car bombing at the main police complex in the capital.

Sources said that the suspected suicide bomber hit his explosive-laden white car with ATS barrack in which one part of the building was completely gutted, and about one and half dozen vehicles damaged.

The dark clouds of smoke were seen over police line area after the blast. According to eyewitnesses, the blast was so loud that it smashed the glass windows of nearby buildings.

Meanwhile, police cordoned off the area and initiated the investigation.

On the other hand, emergency was declared in all hospitals and injured were taken to the PIMS and Holy Family hospitals. According to officials, eight people sustained injuries in the blast.

It may be mentioned here that National Training Center and Police Academy are situated in the area.

We need to get rid of some of our policitians. They are selfish and think of their benefit first.
