Internet Download Manager 5.11 Build 9

Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 5 times, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.

Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.

Internet Download Manager supports proxy servers, ftp and http protocols, firewalls, redirects, cookies, authorization, MP3 audio and MPEG video content processing. You can also drag and drop files, or use Internet Download Manager from command line. We have added these features in response to IDM user requests.

Changed "Download progress" dialog appearance for Windows Vista Aero theme to show "Minimize to system tray" button correctly
Added the feature to use a pattern with wildcards (*) in the list of Internet addresses which IDM should not take over from browsers
Version 5.11 build 9 includes all latest bug fixes

Note: You must apply one of the patches before you click the finish button in the installer

If you want to change the name in the about box just follow this simple steps (only for people that applied the patches uploaded by Sara and Psychosis) :

1. Open the about box in your IDM

2. Open the Windows Registry Editor (just click start, then run, and then type regedit and enter)

3. In the Registry Editor click Edit and Search

3. See the about box, and type the name that appears in the about box in the search box

4. It will appear some files, but when you see the name you typed in the search box in the data space, just do right-click on the file and click edit

5. Change the data value for anything you want
