How opposition is being muffled in Malaysia

It is interesting to note that Malaysian Information Minister while referring to crackdown on opposition groups for election reforms in Malaysia said that his country is not like Myanmar or Pakistan which are under dictatorship. However, ten days ago a peaceful rally of opposition parties was ruthlessly beton charged, tear gased and chemically laced water was splashed on them. The local newspapers following the directons of the Information Ministry severly under-reported the event.

We should not quote other countries for hiding the realities in our own country.
