| FORUMPAKISTAN! [a history] |
|
Salam forumpakistan!
I am Muhammad Shahzaib Khan, an early forumpakistan member. Since many newcommers might not know me, let me intoduce you to myself and my stay at this forum....I was invited to join this forum on a shairy forum by soem body I could never find out who...anyway, I joined and became a part of this. My pride lies in the fact that if forumpakistan is mentioned in a history book, then I am proud to say that I'll atleaset be considered a VIP of my time if not a pioneer. I was very soon [hardly my third or fourth visit] invitited to become the moderator of PTV section, which I readily accepted. As a moderator I not only decorated the boring section, but infact made it quite interesting! I took it from four to six posts to tw pages! I hardly left a topic to which I wasn't the last person to comment. My friendship with Mr.Pakistani grew more and more. I saw that at that time there were hardly a handful of members, so I started a movement for the site: I offered link exchanges to other sites and joined forums to promote this site. Perhaps those efforts proved fruitfull that so many people have now joined. anyway, I used to send an extremely lllooonnngg letter every week to mr.pakistani discussing the issues concerning the site. i used to bombard him with comments, suggestuions and ideas. I don't know wether he'd acknowledge this or not, but the culture related section was solely an idea i put foward to him long ago. In order to brief him of the progress i used to make i often sent him the links to the pages where i used to advertise our site [for free!!!]. I loved playing the role of an advisor to mr.pakistani when i reached my peak. I used to top the pakistani proud lists, [i must confess i've often posted mere 'yes' or 'no's just to score and top!]. forumpakistan was my home. i spent hours trying to make it better. as far as i and you may remember, once somebody mentioned my name especailay along with two others in thanking us for our efforts for forumpakistan in a special topic. even mr.pakistani announced a congrats when i became moderator PTV.
However, I started working on creating an organization [contact me: khan_shahzaib2493@hotmail.com for details] which forced me to start diverting my time, attention and presence from the forum to the org. this kept on and on untill I became 'invisible' at the forum. I could never see my dream come true, I only found it a well populated forum when a huge no. of people had already joined. I remember I used to welcome each and every new member to the forum. furthermore more, my other tasks kept me farther and farther from the site untill i totlay vanished. I now come here to visit whenever i have a little spare time.
I HEREBY REQUEST MR.PAKISATNI AND OTHERS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I MOW OFFICALY LEAVE THE PTV SECTION AND MY REPUTATION AS AN ACTIVE MEMBER.
I'll never forget the lessons of buisness i learnt when volunteering for the forum, on those lessons does my new org base. yes it is true. I learnt a lot from here. I thank every one.
Thorughout my life, I will always remember this palce as a great place where i made so many friends, from where i got the first members of the org, and from where I learnt to be me. When i joined this site, i came badly himulated from another forum, but my out look on forums changed thereafter.
It has been an honour staying here, I shall continue to stay here as long as i can.
I conclude addressing the newbies that you my example, please don't leave my efforts unfiished, my hard work incomplete, i request you and all others to promote this site to the extent that it becomes a mirror to pakistan...
Your friend,
MUHAMMAD SHAHZAIB KHAN
