| Floods bring more misery to Jakarta |
|
Overnight downpours sent storm waters coursing back into some low-lying areas of Indonesia’s capital on Tuesday, as authorities warned of the threat of diseases and anger mounted at the government’s response to flooding that has killed at least 44 people.
Authorities said flood water had receded in some areas of Jakarta, but that between 220,000 and 430,000 people remained in temporary shelters. The conflicting figures came from different government agencies and it was not immediately possible to reconcile them. Electricity and water supplies were still cut too much of the city of 12 million people.

Now its the time to think about the extreme whether conditions. Its not just the movie Day After Tomorrow. But extreme weather conditions are now reality. Every day we listen about floods, tornadoes, earthquake, avalanche, heavy rains, snowfall, these are all due to global warming. Its the time to think about this seriously, before its too late. According to scientists, it can rise the world temperature from 2 to 4 degree centrigrade with in a century.
