in this era i simply find no country without the governance of the plp except those of some african nations or countries like burma . and we cant compare them with us as our litracey rate and gdp is far better. problem with us is we dont stand as a nation . we contribute noting for our civil liberties, and just wait for things to be better. infact we talk loudly about our problems but do nothing about it. thats the reason every now and then some uniformed person takes over our governance.
AND WHY THEY ARE NOT GOOD FOR OUR COUNTRY??? because one man cant be right all the time, mostly they no nothing about rghts of plp, lack of understanding of the system ,lack of accepting diffrence on openion, esily influneced by external pressure( as they dont have any roots in masses as whole), they live in uttopia think they are best for the country and they are most well wisher.
WHAT WE GET OUT OF THIS INTERVINE no leaders are born and politics of leg pulling and cajoling appears
they love power . eg. zia even after 11 years never wanted to leave infact till last he wat about to do somethig (god knows what!!)

If a man, who has been physically challenged, recovers suddenly. It would be difficult for him to accept this change since his body is used to crutches. Similarly Nations who have a long history of repression, exploitation, hypocrisy take time to change because the mindset of the Nation accepts it.
There has been painful events which happened before the emergency but people accepted them-- like the abnormal price hike in food items, I haven't seen politicians mobilizing people, I only observe big talk.

I agree that political, and justice system are the key items that establishes a good image for any society/country. Unfortunately in Pakistan all these systems are corrupt. We need to bring an strong justice system where every one will be responsible for his actions.

well, i am not sure weather its for good or not but i am a big fan of President Gen. Parvez Musharaf.
And i think Emergency was in the favour of the country keeping in view the current situation.
But its a vast topic with alot to discuss.

Its not Emergency, its not Martial Law its simple Musharaf Law. Whatever he likes is law, everything else is illegal. How can you justify that there is no constitution still there was a Prime Minister, Cabinet and even working assemblies! Simply stupid!
