YES.though i dont watch many indian movies-many other pakistanis do,mainly cuz our own film industry is useless.
i mean-khuda ke liye is just one good movie among a sea of bad ones such as 'badmash gujjar' and all the other 'gujjars' etc.

salaam to you all i'm new, i personally don't like indian films but there isn't much else to watch. if our pakistani films were as good as they were in the past i think very few pakistanis would actually watch indian films.

Well, Amreen first of all, we all welcome you to this forum and hope you'll enjoy your stay here.
To me that is a lame reason that if there are no good enough Paki movies then we should revert to Indian movies. I ask you guys, are movies as necessary as air, water or food?, I think everyone can survive without pakistani or indian movies.
Although occasionaly I watch English movies but its been 10 years since I saw a single bollywood or lollywood movie(and I am still having a perfect and Interesting life) the strongest reason behind it is that these movie industries are far from reality, they dont produce real stuff, they take you to the land of mermaids and fairys, secondly most of indian movies are utilised to demonise Islam, and all of us who watch these blo*** indian movies should be ashamed of themselves.

hmmm...i think that is true but you do need some fun and something to do every now and then. i live in england and for me watching a pakistani film or drama will be nice because it can show our culture. i do sometimes watch the black and white pak films and think they are really good but then the one's nowadays are rubbish. with indian films they are just trying to be more westernised and copy so much music (illegally) from our artists. i do also agree that they do represent muslims really badly, a muslim man is usually a gangster and a muslim girl is always oppressed and always falls in love with a hindu/sikh man. it is just over the top nonsense but i think that they market themselves better then us. maybe that is a reason that they can still make anti-pak films and still get away with it.

pakistan's most of the cinema halls were closed in last 10 years.so wt do u expect lollywood to do?Bollywood movies is officially banned in pakistan.it ll be btter for pakistan entertainment industry to collaborate with bollywood and produce movies with joint ventures..As such pirated bollywood movies are there in every nook and corner of pakistan.Indirectly its ur govt which is losing out revenue.
pakistan govt can help cinema,multiplex to perpetuate in pakistan by allowing bollywood.Lollywood will gain maximum after curbing ban on bollywood.

well we watch movie to entertain ourself, NOT to support any industry/economy.
listening music, watching T.V , playing games are part of our entertainment.
so if someone prefer Indian movies over Pakistani movies, then the one should watch what he likes.
giving the reasons like its not necessary like food, water or support our film industry are LAME reasons.
Watch whatever you enjoy!!!

Well many Pakistani do watch indian movies, I think Pakistanis not only watch bollywood movies they watch hollywood movies too...and it is increasing since they are producing such good movies... And there is nothing wrong with just watching a movie of a certain industry/country you know, its just for chill'in and having fun, I think it can be a positive thing for Pakistan to show the world that we as a nation are Open minded and welcome this kind of stuff, but we should have limits, keeping in mind that after all we are a Muslim nation and we should respect that no matter what.
Anyways, I watch indian movies too, but once in a long while.
