Command & Conquer

anyone here a big fan of C&C-i know everyone's hooked on warcraft these days-but still thought id mention.
i own C&C First Decade+Tiberium Wars-unfortuanetly my TW cd didnt work twice,now i have to exchange it again Crying or Very sad

whenevr i put the TWars cd into my dvd drive,my drive starts making loud weird noises and it just keeps making those noises on and on....until finally i get tired and go to explorer-only to find that the drive isnt reading the cd-meaning when i clikc on my dvd drive(G:\)icon,explorer gets stuck and i have to eject the cd.explorer starts working as soon as i eject the cd and it gives an error saying:'windows cannot read from this drive.it is either corrupt or this drive has not been formatted or it may be using format that is incompatible with windows.'i bought this cd from SAM Computers in Lahore near Kalma Chowk and this has never happened to me before while buying cds from there (it is an excellent quality cd shop).....

can anyone help me(apart from saying that the cd doesnt work of course)? Sad

I am also an addtict to c&c, though I don't play computer games much but my reason for this is genuine: in RA2 you can kill bloo.. americans, britishers, frenchies, germans (i hate the new ones for they were west germany, my sympthies for former east germany), and south koreans (i admire N Koreans) all my harsh enemies!!!!!!!!!! Twisted Evil

by the way i have been to SAM computers aswell some three or four years back. about your dnd problem, i think you should try a cd of it. have you played RA2?

Red Alert 2 was the first C&C game i ever played .it rocked back then! Cool

now its been replaced with zero hour though i still LOVE playing Yuri's Revenge+RA2 single player campaigns
also what do u mean when u say 'try a cd of it'-does it mean i should buy Tiberium Wars on CD format?i doubt that is available as CD-its only available on DVD-ROM game format.

well, once I saw a CD which had all the c&cs in one cd (unbeliveable but true!), seachr for it, but you won't find it in goood stores, you'll have to lower your standards (the older CDs are often found in cheaper places, but the quality is not perfect, but not bad aswell!

oye shahzaib shab i already OWN the cd your talking about-its called Command & Conquer the First Decade+Tiberium Wars is newer than First Decade and is the latest in C&C games+it is therefore not available on the cd ur talking about,which is First Decade.

i dont know if u really CAN download strategy games like C&C or Warcraft-sure u might be able to get the demos somehow but no,i dont think u can download the full game from anywhere.

Yaar Red Alert 2 And Yuri's revenge are my favourite games and i have played them more then 4 years and i have also downloaded updates for the which make the game more and more Interesting.New characters'TANKS'VEHICLES EVERY THING YAAR I M A BIG FAN OF RED ALERT 2 AND YURIS REVENGE AND I HATE ALL THE OTHER GAMES LIKE TIBERIUM SEN COMMAND AND CONQUER GENERALS AND ZERO HOUR RED ALERT SERIES ROCK!!!!!

The company's name clearly states what we have to do in their games. When Red Alert 2 first came out in 2001 ,I got myself an original copy of the game from the US and when the expansion came out a few months later i also got that in the original non-pirated version from the same city and to this day I play that game and seriously own everyone i have seen .I mean that I can easily win a 4on4 Brutal enemies match on my favourite map (Heck Freezes Over) and without much difficulty win a 3on5 with all Brutals .I have finished the game like 500 google times(1 google is "1" with a hundred zeros in front of it).I love all the teams in the games with their special abilities n all.
I have also played C&C Tiberium Wars but I didn't find the gameplay to be much fun but you can easily call it a next generation strategy game
Graphics-wise cuz the graphics are just too great for the game and at resoultions of 1920*1200 ,the game is mind-blowing ,graphics-wise and after playing that game I did not want to play Yuri's revenge anymore but it was just too much fun so I could not give up .I like the expansion of Tiberium Wars ,Kane's Wrath .It's an improved version with new additions and a new campaign.

BTW ,I had a question , why don't the PC drive manufacturers make the CD/DVD read/writers like car stereo systems .They are just so simple ,boxy n all.
I mean look at today's latest sound systems in cars .They have like touch panels and screens n all and are made out of steel and chrome n shit .Drives are made out of 100% SOLID PLASTIC. and they only have one button eject/insert .Drives should also have remotes for opening them from a distance like some car sound systems.
