From now on I would like to translate some of the Chinese threads from the Chinese forums.
I do this because I want to show the feeling of the Chinese youth to you and I also want to make my contribution to the PAK-CHINA

friendship.
And sorry again for my poor English but I will try my best to describe the exact meanings of each post.
And I will also try my best to translate as much posts as I could to enhance our communication.

TOPIC:巴基斯坦：我们是来救灾的，有菜叶吃就行/Pakistan: We are here to save people(earthquake), only vegetables is ok for our food

COMMENTS:巴基斯坦共有4架运输机，其中两架用于日常飞行，另外两架作为紧急备用。目前有两架运送救灾物资的飞机仍在中国，巴go-vern-ment经

过紧急磋商后决定：动用剩下的两架备用飞机。/There are 4 aerotransports in Pakistan which 2 of them are used for daily flight in the

country and the other 2 will be used for emergencies. Currently those 2 aerotransports are still standing by in China and the other

2 planes were also finally put into use after the consultation of the Pakistan government.

　　巴基斯坦对中国地震灾区的援助仍在继续。27日，一支由28名医务人员组成的巴基斯坦医疗队飞赴中国甘肃地震灾区。为此，巴方专门动用了最

后两架战备运输机。/The rescue is still carry on and a 28 people rescue team from Pakistan has flied to the Gansu Province by taking

their last 2 aerotransports.　

　　对于巴基斯坦的首批医疗队赴甘肃地震灾区进行救援，中国有关接待部门非常重视，也希望能为他们做好生活方面的安排。为此，国内专门向中

国驻巴使馆询问巴基斯坦医疗队的饮食安排问题。/The Chinese government has paid a high attention to the reception of the Pak rescue

team and the certain Chinese departents has sent a request to the embassy to make certain arrangements for the living and eating of

the rescue team.
　　

　　巴外交部东亚司司长马丁·汗告诉中国驻巴使馆政务参赞姚敬，巴基斯坦医疗队自己会带一些简单的食品，尽量不给灾区增加麻烦和负担。/But

the foreign minister of Pakistan said that the rescue team has their own food already and the team does not want to bring more

burdens to the disaster area.　　

　　“不用操心医疗队的吃饭、接待问题，他们是去救人的，有菜叶吃就行。”马丁·汗说。/"Please do not worry about the special

arrangements of the living and the food to the rescue team, they are here to save people, only vegetables is ok for our food."said

the foreign minister of the Pakistan.　　　

　　“不要谈钱”/"And do not talk about the money."　　

　　急灾区之所急。巴基斯坦在中国地震发生后共提供了两万多顶帐篷。中国驻巴使馆非常清楚，这些帐篷对于经济并不发达的巴基斯坦来说是笔很

大的开销，所以希望以中方购买的方式送给灾区。但是经过几次询问，巴基斯坦国家减灾局主席法鲁克和其他巴方官员都拒绝透露帐篷的价格。/The

disaster area is in great danger.Pakistan has provide the area with more than 20000 tents and the Pakistan Embassy in China knows

clearly that thoses tents was not a small costs for Pakistan, so the embassy decided that the tents will be saled to China but the

National Disaster Mitigation Center of Pakistan denied to offer the price for the tents.

　　“这些帐篷是救灾用的，是我们心意的表达，”法鲁克说。/"The tents are used for saving the people", said the Chairman of the

National Disaster Mitigation Center of Pakistan.　　

　　“巴方说：‘这些援助不是用钱来衡量的。中国兄弟以前帮助我们的时候，跟我们要过钱吗？’听到这里我眼泪都出来了，”一位使馆工作人员

动情地说。/"The Pakistan government says `such help cannot be weighed by money. Did Chinese people ask us for money when they came

to help us?` and my tears was pouring out when I heard they said." said one of the clerk from the Pakistan Embassy.　　

　　姚敬介绍说，根据市面价格，一顶帐篷一般约在200美元左右。光是帐篷一项，巴基斯坦的捐赠价值就达到了400多万美元。/"According to the

current market, it will cost about 200usd for one tent and the Pakistan has donated more than 4000000usd to China." Yao said. 　　

　　

　　巴基斯坦是全球向中国灾区捐赠帐篷最多的国家之一。两万多顶帐篷不是个小数目。/Pakistan donated the most tents to China, 2000000+

tents was not a small cost.　　

　　巴go-vern-ment在提出捐赠的时候并没有考虑太多，而是把救灾放在了第一位，举全国之力为中国地震灾区抽调帐篷。这些承载着巴基斯坦人民

深情厚谊的帐篷源源不断地从伊斯兰堡、卡拉奇、拉合尔等城市运往中国灾区。/The Pakistan government has no hesitation on such donation

and with the PAK-CHINA friendship more tents is continuously shipped to China from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore...　　

　　在伊斯兰堡装运帐篷时，竟然把战略储备仓库里的帐篷全部搬光了/The Islamabad has exhausted their Strategic Reserve.　　

　　　　

　　巴基斯坦提供救灾帐篷后，运输又成为了问题。毕竟，巴方运输机每架次只能运送不过二三百顶帐篷。为此，使馆和巴方经过协商决定，大部分

帐篷通过喀喇昆仑公路——中巴友谊公路运输。/The transportation has became a problem for the tent donation, only 200-300 tents can be

transfered by air for one time, in order to ensure the transport efficiency, all the tents will be shipped inland by using the

Kara-korum road-the road of PAK-CHINA friendship.　

　　喀喇昆仑公路平均海拔高，路况复杂。5月21日，16辆集装箱卡车从伊斯兰堡启运。由于在巴方境内距红其拉甫口岸50公里处的冰川融化，中巴友

谊公路被冲毁，淹没路段达一公里，运送救灾物资的货车无法通行。/The Kara-korum road is located in the high altitude moutain area with

complex road condition. On 21st May, 16 trucks started their journey from the Islamabad, taking the Kara-korum road to China with

the tents. But some of the glacier has melten down and block the way 50 kilometers away from the Hongqila border and the trucks

could not pass through. 　　

　　经过中国新疆路桥公司和巴方工程人员的连夜紧急抢修，道路最终恢复了通车。历时4天跋涉，这支车队终于抵达中国的红其拉甫口岸，在大雪中

和等候在那里的中方人员举行了交接仪式。/The road was finally back to function after the joined effort of Chinese and Pakistani

engineers and the trucks finally reached the Hoqila border after 4 days.

China is the only country in the world that pakistan can truly depend on as a friend. We dont feel that anything we can do for our brothers and sisters in China would be enough.
