| Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Noman Bashir |

KARACHI: Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Noman Bashir has assumed the Command of Pakistan Navy in a graceful ‘change of command’ ceremony at the Naval Headquarters in Karachi today (Tuesday).
Speaking on the occasion, Admiral Noman Bashir said that Pakistan Navy was fully prepared to protect maritime territory of the country.
The naval chief thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for giving him such important responsibility. Admiral Bashir said he would strive to the best of his capacity to live up the expectations of the leadership and the nation while performing his duties.
He said, “We will have to face the challenges of extremism, terrorism and fundamentalism in an effective manner.” Terming the present regional and international situation as complicated, he said Pak Navy would face the challenges.

|
Admiral Noman Bashir is the newly appointed Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of the Pakistan Navy, who took over on 7 October, 2008, when Admiral Afzal Tahir retired from the navy. He was appointed to that post by President Asif Ali Zardari on 5 October, 2008, after his and the current Chief of Staff (COS) Vice Admiral Asaf Humayun's names were sent to the President by the Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar.

WORSE FOR PAKISTAN
Attacks on Pakistani terrotories are justified only if it is Pakistan army.Please stop America,request to the Govt.American should gve
information to akistan army if there is something wrong in tribal area and Pak army should attack the place.
