Can we EVER eliminateCHILD LABOUR...CALLING ANYONE WHO CARES

For days im seeing banners all over islamabad creating awarness about child labour

But how can we get rid of it?
child labour exists because of poverty and poverty exists because of education... one would think that education is the answer
but most poor families cannot even afford free educatiion because of the opportunity cost which is the income earned from their children..

when child labour is intervined with poverty and illitracy we cannot cure one without curing the other...
can we the people do something to help those children who become slaves in the hands of their cruel masters , who get caught in the web of bonded labour

Anyone see the american idol week. they generated 50 million dolllars in one night through sms to help children of africa and america
maybe if we reach out to the the media . jazz ufone etc launch a programme on tv . imgaine if each person send an sms we could generate so much money each day to help those children get education and income for their families.

Think about it..

Right now all of us can get together and think of ways to get sponsors of mobile companies.. any one has connection with the media or people in show bizzness who could use their star power..

but in panjab from 1 to 10 education is free also providing books for student , and this policy is also lauched in sindh too recently, i think may be litrary rate grow up child labur rate come down..............

Its not only about providing free education. what about those families who cannot even afford free education. if their kids are going to be in school ,, who is going to earn. and apart from private org dat pay the children to come to school. this practice is not wide spread.. and somethng needs to be done about it

i think 200 RS per student scholrship is also provided monthly

Yes, Sarah, I am agreed with you. I think people with some good links need to come farword to raise this issue and I am sure just like American Idol, we can also collect a lot of money for the right purpose.

In the European countries and American, we cannot see any beggers, but here in Pakistan we can see thousands of beggers in big cities, and if we people can give money to these begger, which should not be given, then I think people should donate some money for the good cause as well and your suggest of SMS is very good.

Hope some person with right links will see this post and try to do something good.

I don`t think that we should blame to goernment for all things. In simple punjabi
Sare da sara awaa hi vigdea hoya hai.

exactly, the goverment is going through a political crisis and the country as a whole is struggling economically and sociallly at the hands of fundamentalists. there are some issues that we as a nation need to raise and not just sit here waitng for the goverment to do something about it.
