boycott of the upcoming general elections
LAHORE: All 33 members of the APDM, minus the JUI-F, on Thursday announced boycott of the upcoming general elections, saying the decision would only be reviewed if President Pervez Musharraf restores the deposed judges of the superior judiciary.

I think they have realized that they do not stand a chance.

Coming Election are just a pure fraud!
Only Musharraf`s supporter parties will get the success like MQM (Pakistan`s Nr. 1 terrorist party) and
2nd party tha may can esay win is PML (Q). Others can only dream until Musharraf is in power Mad

I really do not think that government will do any foul play when whole world will be watching very closely to these elections.

And in addition to this all parties are very experienced and knowledgeable about elections. Therefore, outcome can be anything.

I think Nawaz Sharif thought that as soon as he will land in Pakistan, 90% of Muslim League (Q) will join him but this did not happen. That is why he knows that he might win few seats but he will not emerge with a strong position after election.

Rest every party except MMA has less that 2 seats on average. Even in MMA, if Fazal -ur- Rehman departs then they do not hold any strength.

I think it will be a good election and every body has same level playing ground.

Brother, My thinking is that if any political party goes into election without "Restoration of Suspended Judiciary" then this election is just a joke. How will next Govt. make its establishment with out any prominent lead and most importantly 58(2B) is still a destructive tool for next Govt in the hands of musharraf, who can desolve it at any time. as he is used to do everything what "he" thinks right.
Independent Courts are the basic rights of every nation, those parties who are taking stand on this point are doing real needed thing for Pakistan, Why they are doning, leave this, Just what Pakistan needs at this point is important.

I think APDM knows that they do not have peoples behind them and they saw the recent strong lawers movement for restoration of Ex-CJ Iftikhar ch, and they are trying to take advantage of that by becoming a party with them.

Otherwise, Nawaz's main agenda of "restoration of Judiciary" is not more than a joke. People who were old enough in late nintees they saw when Nawaz's political workers raided the supreme court live on tv with dandas (sticks).

Instead of flying with the wind, we should try to see the truth.
