Batting tips for Afridi

Afridi, in his last ten one-dayers, has a highest score of 27. In the three Asia Cup games, Afridi has scored 4 (Hong Kong), 9 (India) and 0 (Sri Lanka).

Afridi's frustration came through on Monday night after the game against Sri Lanka when on getting out again quickly he returned to the dressing room and wept.

The source said Afridi was so frustrated and upset with his failure again with the bat that he sat down and shed a few tears with his face covered in a towel

well....any1 ready to help him out...
any Advices, tips or Suggestions??

I dont get it..How can people laud lala for staying dumb and staying ignorant n not learning anything. From his early career till now he s hardly added anything to his batting..hardly learned anything. If someone can not play according to the situation and cannot learn then he shouldnt be playing international sport! Yea U should be all aggressive n stuff if u can pull it off but if ur averaging 23 runs per match over 12 years and 260 odd games then U r what u r...a dumbass who can not learn. lol

Alex u r making the same point every1 seems to make.

Afridi came into the team as a leg spinner. He's the second highest wicket taker so far this year. Just like u cud'nt possibly expect shoaib akhtar or umer gul to score runs, same thing with shahid. He is a gr8 bowler and deserves a spot in the team as a bowler alone. Batting is a plus, and if he score runs, its even better.

I would luv to see him play like M. yousuf but thats simply not his game. He has'nt changed in 12 years and he's not going to anytime soon so just let him be.

Frankly i think the reason for him being out of form is that he's trying to block and trying to be patient. He should just go out and play his natural game which is his strength.

Yea but his bowling is not good enough to play him as a bowler alone!! As long as he's taking an allrounder spot...he s gotta bat..n wen he s batting ..he s just too stupid to think. Sure i dont expect Umar gul to score for me but i expect him to hang on and support other batsman if we 7 or 8 down and 20 runs needed!!! not like Mr. i cant learn im too agressive over here lol
I think its got lot to do with pakistani people's thinking who worship personalities over teams.
To me team comes first and he s not serving my team.
Hey if he can not win matches consistently for my team then he can piss off..dont care about losers specially who never learn.

well i think he needs batting tips ... most of bowlers around world knows his weakness

If I am to visit pakistan forums on a regular basis, at some point someone is going to have to explain the sport cricket to me. Seems like its a national passion for you guys. I love baseball and heard its similar so hopfully i'll pick it up quick. Smile

LOL My tip was a good one. I think quitting is the real answer to his problem. Its not like i dont like LALA ..i love lala hehehe...I ve met him too..But Where i stand if he s not serving my team then steping aside is the answer. If he s not gonna step aside then hitting straight is the answer!..Only time he s ever succeeded was wen he decided to hit straight.

Afrid is only good if he is not forced to do what he can't and that is play defensive...if he is told to play as he can than he is capable of destroying any bowling attack.

i also think the same about afridi. people think he is good at batting he is not. he has only made a top score of 27 in 10 matches and i think shouldn't have a lplace in the pakistan cricket side.

Afridi is the best..!!!!

May be it is due to the reason that before he went for bat he anounced that he will perform well in this series but his performance was not up to the mark therefore he was very much disheartned and wept. He is still a good batsman but really need more practice to show his performance as expected by the nation.

Afridi has given us so many moments of enjoyment in cricket,,,if he is down these days there shudnt b anything ti loose heart,,,he vill b in form very soon,,,INSHALLAH

My suggession is he shud concentrate on bowling instead of bating, as he is having Phsyche prob with bating,,,, ALLAH will help him to recover.

i think nothing wrong with afridi,s technique. The thing is they should take afridi as bonus and send him to open the innings when the fielders are in. He is bowler anyway.

i think shahid bhai has come to the end of the line where he should decide to either concentrate on bowling more then batting.

don't get me wrong pple im a true fan of lala but we all know he is a slogger not a proper batsmen like inzi
