Army Public School, Attock College declared best institution

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has declared Army Public School and Attock College best institution at SSC level for 2008 among its affiliated institutions within Pakistan.

The FBISE plans to hold a grand function to celebrate excellent performance of the students, teachers and institutions affiliated with it. The Army Public School showed excellent result in SSC exam 2008 due to professional qualities, selfless devotion and commitment of the teachers.

The school was established in 1974 as a nursery, gradually rose to middle level in 1990, to secondary level in 1993 and to higher secondary level in 1997. The school/college is currently headed by Principal Syed Ghalib Raza Gillani, a senior professional educationist.

Two day workshop at HEC concludes: A two-day workshop for senior university administrators on "leading transformational changes: tools for effective change" was held at the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

The workshop was arranged by the Learning Innovation Department of HEC which was the second activity to provide continuous professional development and capacity building to the university administration. The first ever workshop for vice chancellors was held at AIT, Thailand titled "Good Governance in Universities in the 21st Century". In the second workshop at Learning Innovation Department was arranged to understand and use diagnostic tools related to the eight steps involved in major changes and to complete an action plan related to quality assurances.
