| ARMED FORCES AND THE MASS? IS IT A SACRED COW? |
|
Armed forces of every county are respected and paid homage to, for their sacrifice and dont-care-about-me conduct, that is their professionalism. It means forces don't care about what is happening in the executive or the judicial circle in the country and their sole concern is to keep a strict watch over the solidarity and intergrity of the state concerned. The public of the concerned country place their soldiers in high esteem and pay them whatever they want. They also have great expectations from them too as to be duty bound, remain professional, and not to betray. It means they are to be expected to keep their conduct according the rules and regulations. When an army man who has sworn allegiance to the constitution formed by the representatives of the country, violates the same constitution on some excuses and invent more pretexts to invalidate his moves, he is punished not only according to the military rules and regulations but there is also punishment in the constitution. That is why the age of martial law and rule of military men is vanishing from the face of our planet. Look at our next little brother who is no more that : Bangladesh.
What do you think?

Mazhar, nice topic, your thoughts are very deep and you conveyed you message in very professional way.
I think limit is limit and should be applicable to everbody. Nobody should violate the constitution of Pakistan in any manner.

Eik ganddi machlli sare talab ko gandda karti hai!
Therefore, forget about milatry rullers and their history.
I am also one of those who wants democrasy in Pakistan. Unfortunatly it is
the milatry who take over the control over Pakistan. After all there must be some reasons.
Long Live Pakistan.

Pakistan has had terrible xperiences with army..army being in power broke Pakistan, army in power hanged bhutto, founder of our nuclear program, army in power prisoned A.Q.Khan, army in power bombed wana and waziristan, our army is sure not worth all those facilities and respect we giv to them as in when we step out of lahore airport , a sight of luxury apartments with a seven star hotel will welcome you and thanks to military govt, that these flats are giver to army majors n personnels . free of cost

| Pakistan Army & a few individuals |
|
Any institution of the country is to be respected and taken care according to its needs and objectives. Institutions must maintain their existence and profile strictly according to the constitution.
No institution as a body can be blamed and should not be blamed just due to a few individuals actions and style.
President General Musharaf must be a successful general in the army, thats the reason he reached to the post of a Pak Army General. But it is not necessary that one successful general can be successful as head of state. First, constitution of the country prohibited him for the adventure he taken. 2ndly) after 8 years of experience and completely failure in all areas of country's business, the way he took power, he should leave the official positions - since as Army Chief he acted illegaly 8 years before also.
It is really shame when he is now acting like a joker, regret to utter this word but can any reader guide me which name you want to call him after reading what Im mentioning now. He is today on a tour of flood hit area of Baluchistan. YOu can feel his non-seriousness towards any issue and towards national issues. Look at the cap he is using. On army uniform(cap is a part of the uniform), the Cap he is using having embroidary work written PRESIDENT.
If Chief of Pak Army can not follow rules and regulations, what examples he is leaving for others in an organised organization. Where is the respect of the laws of Pak Army Uniform ? This person is not keeping the norms and making joke of his own institution rules & regulations. Why Pak army has not taken any disciplinary action ?

The moment any general ascends the throne, it spells the end for that country. Barring a few exceptions like South Korea (where the dictatorship improved a country that was behind both pakistan and india, to a nation that had by the 1980s one of themost advanced economies in the world.) generally dictatorship is useless. Take pakistan for example. In a few years of dictatorship they started [edited].... Moreover by stiffling democracy, they are always putting Pakistan under the image of a dictatorship which USA is ready to utilise for their own benefit and then punish when not needed. The image of Pakistan Army is tarnished and is an unprofessional one.

| ARMED WAY OF DEALING WITH CRISIS |
|
LAL MASJID CASE THAT HAS BEEN SOLVED WITH THE SAME WAY AS WAS EXPECTED IN THE RULE OF SOME GENERAL IS OVER NOW. ACCORDING TO MEEK AND NOT SO UNDERSTANDABLE SPOKESMAN, ABOUT 73 MILITANTS ARE DEAD AND 10 ELITE COMMONDOS OF PAK ARMY EMBRACED SHAHDAT. BUT THERE ARE MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS THAT MUST BE ASKED FROM THE TOP BROSS. THE FIRST ONE IS HOW MANY CHILDREN AND WOMEN WERE KILLED? BUT IT IS STILL SHROUDED IN MYSTERY? COULD NOT IT HAVE BEEN SOLVED IN SOME OTHER WAY? WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SO MUCH ARMS UNDER THE NOSE OF OUR ISI THAT IS 200 METERS AWAY?
THE REAL QUESTION IS WHY ARMY HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN FIGHTING WITH ITS OWN PEOPLE? I THINK NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THIS CONSPIRACY OF INVOLVING AND KILLING OT ELITE GROUP OF COMMONDOS AND SONS OF THE SOIL.
