| ARE WE WORTH FOR I-TECH |
|
We are never tired of each minute drumming the good governance and high reformed performance having been inducted by the present rulers. Madly huge income is being generated for computer sale companies of dear ones and on appointment of below average people as i-tech experts on high salaries. As is being done so the people life is becoming more miserable.
International Postal Day last week was celebrated and as usual people heard of loud claims of postal authorities. The post office department has been equipped with modern technology but its quality of service is more rapidly decreasing. The other day I had to visit Saddar Karachi Post Office for making payment for annual renewal of our post box. A computer was laughing in the room where payment was to be made. The officer concerned demanded from me the last year’s renewal payment receipt only to verify that we are the owners of the concerned post box and that that last year fee was clear. I told the officer that the original receipt was deposited with our accounts department for accounting purposes and cannot be retrieved. The officer showed his helplessness in doing anything. When I drew his attention that on back of his chair just at a distance of 2 feet was his steel cupboard having Register of Post Box containing one full page for each post box and just right near his hand was the key board of the computer why he does not check it from those two sources. It did not surprise me when he told his computer was not updated. Really it a wonderful reformed system
