| ARABIC VS LATIN ALPHABETS |
|
The turkish language used to be written from right to left like we write urdu now
During the 1920s Ataturk replaced the arabic letters with the latin ones.
Turkish language thus started being written from right to left.
Before this the literacy rate in Turkey was around 20 percent.
After the change in the Alphabets, the literacy rate rose to over 80 percent.
This is because the new alphabets are very easy to write and very direct to pronounce, and every alphabet has been written in one single form under all the conditions.
I think this is the time when we should think about taking the same decision about urdu language also.
Make urdu simple and popular.

salam 2 all! first of all brother ahmad wht really is the difference whn turkish was used 2 b written 4m "right 2 left" b4 1920's n Ataturk also made it 2 b written 4m " right 2 left". secondly brother dnt get impressed by everyone so easily. there z nthng wrong wid our alphabets or their direction. the fault is in the implementation of our education policies. changing alphabets wud change nothing rather it ll create more mess... Ataturk i m afraid z nt our ideal: wid due apologies.
