hi gays just tell tha value of A

A + 11% of A = 72.00

i want the value of A but remember that ans must b 72.000000000000

if i cant explain my question u can ask abt it

A + A * 0.11 = 72

Solving
1.11A = 72

Why You multiply .11 * A ????

To calculate the 11% of A

for example.

If you need 5% of any value, we assume 300

so you need to do 300 * 5 * 1/100 same thing we can write 300 * 5/100 and also we can write 300 *.05

i mean i have put 11% as A* 11/100

11/100 = .11 so A * .11

I hope you should understand with above example, However if you need more explanation, just let me know.

Mr. in the first equation in your first post was like this:

A + 11% A = 72 you have changed it to A +11% =71.99. A is missing in your last post's equation.
so if we take your original equation and put in the values of A = 64.86, we'll have

A + 11% A = 72

Substitute A by 64.86

=> 64.86 + 11% * 64.86 = 72
=> 64.86 + 0.11 * 64.86 = 72
=> 64.86 + 7.1346 = 72
=> 71.9946 ~= 72

it is a grade 5 algebra question.
